Skydive amongst mountains, glaciers, lakes, rivers and ocean views. Skydive Franz has New Zealand’s highest mountain Aoraki/Mount Cook and the biggest glaciers Fox and Franz Josef Glaciers immediately on the right and the wide blue ocean on the left. Multiple departure times. Allow 3 hours for your tandem skydive experience.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness

Please wear warm lightweight clothes and secure shoes (preferably with laces)

Tandem skydiving is the fastest, easiest and safest way for an inexperienced skydiver to enjoy the thrill of jumping out of a plane, free falling through the sky at 200kph/120mph and floating safely to the ground under a parachute. You can simply enjoy the thrill of the experience knowing your tandem instructor has everything under control.

The Team at Franz Josef Skydive were all amazing. Could not fault anything. They kept you up to date with what was going on and made you feel really safe when you were about to throw yourself out of a plane

This exceeded all expectations! My girlfriend and I both jumped. She was terrified of this part of our trip for weeks, but after doing it feels a million times better. The place was very professional, clean, and enjoyable. You can't get that view anywhere else. A MUST do!

The team were brilliant from the administration all the way through to the bus journey back. Everyone was so friendly. They must be used to dealing with hysterical people on a regular basis! I was really impressed with how open and honest the company was, and although my timings were quite rigid they were so accommodating. My Sky Dive Master was Harvey. He was really funny and reassuring throughout. It’s a bit scary putting your life in someone’s hands, but I felt safe with him considering. It’s my first time not to scream on the initial fall so I think that says something! Thank you again Harvey and the Team! 😄
