This safari chases after the best Highlights that Tanzania has to offer. Multiple days in the Serengeti, chasing after the famous great migration, and visiting the Ngorongoro Crater. Due to the many days in Serengeti National Park we have the biggest chance of not only seeing, but also traveling with the great migration. Depending in the time of year and location of the migration, we’ll find ourselves in several area’s of the national park. Here we set up camp, as close to the migration as possible. This will give us the biggest chance to experience the wildlife-action-moments that everybody so eagers to see! *Note that this trip is not available year-round. Ask us when it’s the best time to do a ‘great migration safari’.

When you walk out of Kilimanjaro Airport, you’ll be embraced in the relaxed vibes of Tanzania. Just outside, our driver will be waiting for you with our Logo. He will bring you to your Lodge, where you’ll recieve a warm welcome. On the way there you catch the first glimpse of the Tanzanian landscapes and maybe even the Kilimanjaro. Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park is one of the largest national park in Tanzania located in Manyara region. Tarangire is famous for it's large herds of big, big elephants and huge, ancient baobab trees. The park is named after the Tarangire river that flows trough the national park, providing a year round sustainable foodsource for the animals in the park.

We’ll get up in the early morning to have breakfast and start our safari. Serengeti National Park is largest park of the northern circuit and has a variety of landscapes, but is most famous for its great plains. Here the hunters, such as lion, cheetas (and many many other animals) thrive. After our first safari day in Serengeti, we stay at a tented camp in central Serengeti.

The early morning usually starts with a sunrise safari. During this time the animals are the most active and you’ll have the biggest chance of seeing some real National GeoGraphic / Animal Planet action! Here you will likely come eye to eye with the carnivors that rule these plains. Lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyena’s and many more. The rest of day the we explore different area's of the park, to have as many wildlife encounters as possible.

Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast we will drive towards a steep and narrow road that takes you into the legendary ngorongoro crater. A bumpy, but adventureous road! The slopes are forested but soon the landscape changes to savannah. Down in the crater, you’ll be able to spot many animals from a distance. Here is your best chance to spot all the members of the Big 5 – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and if you’re lucky even the leopard. Also the chances of seeing the endangered Rhino is the highest here! Somewhere in the early afternoon, we’ll drive on to the next lodge. Here we will arrive late afternoon/early evening.

The safari is, unfortunately over, but this day you’ll wake up full with everlasting memories and great stories to tell your friends & family back home. This is the your last day, you can choose to relax at the lodge and enjoy a not so guilty morning-cocktail or use this last day to experience a bit more of Tanzania by doing an extra activity. At the end of the day, you’ll take your flight home. Or maybe to Zanzibar...

5.00Wonderful experience with Arusha Trips. Marjolein helped me put together a safari that would make sense for my wife and me. We decided to stay 5 nights at Manyara's Secrets Lodge (highly recommended) rather than moving from lodge to lodge. It worked great for us. Marjolein was also very helpful when one of our flights was cancelled at the last minute and we had to rearrange our travel out of Tanzania. She organized our transfer to Nairobi at the last minute. We had three great game drives with our guide. Having our own driver/guide was perfect. We left the lodge when we wanted and we told him at what time we wanted to be back. We also got support from Terry, who is the office manager for Arusha Trips in Arusha. Terry and I texted back and forth a number of times and he answered all of my questions promptly.

5.00We are now almost a month back from our fantastic trip through Tanzania with Arusha Trips. From the first contact, Arusha Trips felt like a very pleasant organization. They really listen to your wishes, carefully coordinate the trip together and are always easily accessible. Questions were answered quickly and clearly, which gave a lot of confidence. We chose an 8-day trip, including 5 days safari. What an experience! We got to admire the full Big Five, and thanks to Dismass we were in the best places time and time again. His knowledge, explanation and enthusiasm made every day special. Dismass brought not only the facts, but also a lot of positive energy, cosiness and the real “pole pole” feeling. He made sure that the safari was not only impressive, but also personal and relaxed. For an unforgettable safari experience, we absolutely recommend Arusha Trips. And if you have the chance: be sure to ask for Dismass – he will complete the journey!

5.00My partner and I decided to leave for Tanzania for a 6 day safari in August. After making a selection between different agencies, we chose Arusha Trips because of the flexibility and customization of the itineraries, the clarity of the information on the site and the focus on sustainability. We are very happy with our choice! The organization of the trip by the Arusha Trips agency was impeccable and accurate in every detail. Marjolein was always very helpful, quick and precise in her answers, providing all the necessary and practical information for our camping adventure. And not only that... the agency has also selected a fantastic team: Alex, guide and driver, and Nathan, the chef. Both great professionals! Alex, he's always moved with dexterity, allowing us to reach the best spots to spot animals. Thanks to his knowledge of parks we always had the confidence to be in the right place at the right time. He told us really interesting facts about the animals we saw and their habitats. Nathan, distinguished and impeccable professional. It made us fall in love with traditional cuisine, devoting a lot of care and attention to every single dish, amazing us every day! Preparing meals on a multi-day traveling trip requires a lot of experience and organization. He often went beyond his duties, helping us with logistics. In short, they were two irreplaceable travel companions! We had no experience of either safari or camping and living our first experience with Alex and Nathan was great! If we were to arrange another trip to Tanzania, we would contact Arusha Trips and expressly ask Alex and Nathan as travelling companions. Thank you so much! Asante Sana!

5.00We had a 7-day safari (lake manyara, serengeti, ngorongoro crater and a half-day cultural tour). Everything taken care of to perfection by Lex who has put together a nice travel plan with accommodations for us. We have seen a lot of animals including the big five and the big migration (very impressive!). Halfway through the trip I had an app from Terry from Tanzania agency asking if everything was satisfactory. Our guide/driver Meshack was fantastic. He knew how to tell us a lot and besides a very good driver. After the safari we had 3 relaxing days in Tumbille resort. Highly recommended. If you want to consider a safari I would definitely recommend Arusha Trips.

An Unforgettable Honeymoon and Trip

5.00We had the most fantastic honeymoon with Arusha Trips! We explored so much of Tanzania, including Zanzibar, and everything was wonderful—our trip planner, Lex, thought of every detail. Without knowing much at all about planning a safari for ourselves, Lex created and tweaked our entire itinerary to put together a trip that met and exceeded everything we wanted to see and do. Even at the last minute, he was able to secure a hot air balloon ride during the safari, which was truly one of the highlights of the trip. We felt safe and very well taken care of during our trip thanks to our Lex, Samuel, and our safari guide, Innocent. We learned a ton on the safari thanks to Innocent, and spotted so many animals, including most of the Big 5! We can't say enough good things about this trip and Arusha Trips, truly the experience of a lifetime!

5.00We had an amazing time with Arusha Trips, our driver (Innocent) was a great guide. He helped us seeing almost all the animals you would want to see if you're on Safari. Not only the big five, but many other animals. We even saw a rhino on the serengeti. We also enjoyed the way the trip built up our excitement. Starting with the smaller parks. So every time we would go to a new park, we would be amazed again by what we saw. Lex also checked during our trip if everything was as we expected. The trip was well organised from start to end. It was amazing to just enjoy the trips without having to worry about where you would sleep. I would recommend this to anyone who loves nature and good people. Because the people in Tanzania were incredibly helpful and nice. Which adds to experience overall. We hebben een geweldige tijd gehad met Arusha Trips, onze chauffeur (Innocent) was een goede gids. Hij heeft er alles aan gedaan om te zorgen dat we alle dieren zagen die we wilde zien. Niet alleen de big five, maar ook vele andere dieren. We hebben zelfs een neushoorn gezien op de Serengeti. Ook was de opbouw van de reis goed door, te beginnen met de kleinere parken. Dus elke keer als we naar een nieuw park gingen, waren we opnieuw onder de indruk van wat we zagen. Lex controleerde tijdens onze reis ook of alles naar wens was. De reis was van begin tot eind goed georganiseerd. Het was geweldig om gewoon van de trips te genieten zonder je zorgen te hoeven maken over waar je moet gaan slapen. Ik zou dit iedereen aanraden die van de natuur houdt. De mensen in Tanzania waren ongelooflijk behulpzaam en aardig. Wat bijdraagt aan de hele ervaring.

5.00We have had a great week! Seen a lot, in terms of animals, but also in terms of tribes. The highlight for us was hunting with the Hadzabe... incredible how these people (still) live. Our driver, Daniel, was an excellent driver and also a guide. He knew a lot to tell us and we felt safe with him in the Jeep. It was such an open roof. You really feel like you're in nature. The routing was also very pleasant. Accommodations and food perfect and everything spotless; no pests seen! In short: in one word fantastic!
