4.00The Zoo was absolutely amazing! There is a bus located at the bottom of the hill at the Ferry Entry for a fee. Inside the park also has a tram for a fee. As it is on a significant hill it would have been nice if the bus up or the tram wasn't an added cost. However, the exhibits were great and some large aviaries. We went throughout the week so there were not many people there and a few of the eateries were closed. The return Ferry was gone before the departure time and only has very few return trips, arrive early and keep an eye on the time. We were there approximately 4 hours and could have stayed longer!

2.00We arrived by ferry at 10:15am on Friday 20th February, eager to visit the famous Taronga Zoo. To say that I felt underwhelmed would be an understatement. I have been to many zoos, here and overseas, and unfortunately Taronga Zoo was nothing special and did not 'stand out'. The zoo is very well planned out however there were a few enclosures that were closed, and I felt sad for the birds/animals that were kept alone. The large animals were asleep (Lion and 3 lionesses, and one tiger on his own) most of the time and hard to see. Did not see any elephants. The Reptile enclosure was ordinary, would have been fantastic to see a crocodile (like at Melbourne Zoo)! We did see the feeding of the Gorillas which was interesting. I was disappointed with the experience and my thought of "seen one zoo, seen 'em all" remains prominent. Great view of the harbour though!

4.00Make sure other travelers understand ferry schedule before hand. I couldn't find our specific ferry schedule beforehand and it turned out that we had to wait well over an hour to return as online ferry schedules for our specific trip weren't available. Ferry schedule should be provided with reservation.

1.00Bad experience with Viator. I didn't receive the Zoo entrance tickets and had to buy new ones to enter. I requested the return and no one answers. If Viator sent the tickets you can check that they were not used because I did not receive them!

5.00Very good time spent. We took the ferry over, walked through the zoo and stopped for a snack of kangaroo bites. Lots of up & down walking, so be prepared.

3.00Everything was fine except for two points. The first is that the harbor cruise isn't really a harbor cruise at all. It's just the fairy going across to the zoo. Yes, you see the Opera house but if you're expecting to see more of Sydney as an actual tour that won't happen. The second issue was the times between the last two return. Ferries is close to 2 hours so we ended up taking an Uber back rather than wait so long. It will be nice if they fit in at least one more sailing in the middle for those that finish the zoo early. Other than that, service was of course exemplary and the price was fair and of course the zoo is absolutely amazing!
