Important note about the cycling. By default, bikes are mountain bikes (ebikes may be possible, subject to availability and at an extra cost). We highly recommend that you have a good level of fitness and cycling experience. You will cycle around 10kms which includes several hills. The route may include some unlevel surfaces and off-road terrain. Also, keep in mind it gets very hot on Korcula, especially from late June until the end of August, and you will be cycling in the sun. We would class the ride as moderate, but the hills and heat can be more of a challenge for novice riders. Although the ride is leisurely, we need to ensure you will be comfortable to complete the ride.

Pedal into the heart of Korcula life on this small-group, food, wine, and biking adventure. This relaxed, joyful tour is all about us connecting you to the people, flavours, and landscape that make up Korcula Island. It’s the kind of afternoon that feels less like a tour and more like spending time with old friends. We'll be waiting for you at Plokata square, by the circular metal monument (water fountain). We will help you get set up on bikes and fit helmets before we set off on our Taste of Korcula by Bike Tour. Very Important: Before booking, please ensure you and all participants understand the cycling requirements. By default, this is a mountain bike tour. The route includes hills, gravel trails, and potentially hot weather, conditions that may be too challenging for novice riders. E-bikes are available for an additional cost but are not recommended for inexperienced cyclists.

Korcula Town

Starting in Korcula Town, you’ll warm up with a gentle 15-minute ride to your first stop: one of the island’s top honey producers. Here you’ll step into the world of local beekeeping and discover how Korcula’s fragrant landscapes shape each jar, and enjoy a honey tasting.

Fantastic tour! John was an awesome guide who was super helpful, especially with my Mom who hadn't been on a bike in 30 years and had a little bit more trouble at first. All the stops were made too were excellent and I would go back to all of them if I could have stayed on the island longer. So overall I would 100% recommend!

This was the best tour! It was well organized, personal, interesting, and fun! We stopped at a honey farm, a vineyard, and a home where we were served homemade food items, all delicious and a lot of wine! The bike riding is for the physically fit. On road and off-road with beautiful scenery. Just loved it!

My wife and I just finished the most wonderful small group food and wine tour of Korcula with John! The bike ride took us through beautiful vineyards and hillside views, only accessible by bike. We had delicious local honey, cheese, jam, syrups, bread, and more -- made even better by local wines found nowhere else. John was a tremendous guide, balancing humor with clarity and knowledge. We've had many food tours throughout the world over the years, and this is definitely one of the best we've ever had. So grateful for our hours together and for a new lifelong memory made!

Best bike tour I have ever taken. Beautiful countryside that was very informative. We were welcomed so warmly at our 3 stops and Rachael, our guide, treated us like friends vs customers. Top notch hospitality. Cannot recommend highly enough! Thank you, Rachael, for a magnificent Croatian memory.

We loved our Taste of Korcula Bike Tour! My friend and I only had a weekend in Korcula and chose this tour as our first experience on the island. John was an entertaining and well-versed guide, sharing his love for this Croatian island with us as well as his and his wife’s desire to help other local businesses where we stopped along our route. We enjoyed everything about this 6km trek, from the beautiful landscape to the food (honey, figs, jams, and almonds) and drink (local spirits, Grk, and other wines). We highly recommend booking a tour with Korcula Explorer!

We had a wonderful afternoon with John biking around Korcula, trying all kinds of local treats. It was appreciated that he takes you to some of the smaller establishments where you get to spend time with the makers of all the wonderful products. The bikes were in good condition and the cycling wasn’t too strenuous. We definitely had a good time!

This was a great experience to ride through the countryside and explore different vineyards while enjoying the views. Great hosts with delicious wine and treats. Loved the stop at the place that makes honey and learned a lot throughout this tour. John was a great tour guide. Fun was had by all!! Highly recommend!!

These kinds of trips are supposed to be fun and this one certainly was. John is a good guy who is entertaining and fun. My wife and I had a great time. The ride was scenic and the wineries were delightful. PS: John claims his wife is an even better guide than he is.

Rachel is great! The entire tour went off smoothly even though thunderstorms were forecasted by the end (and we made it just in time!). We started our bike tour in Korcula town and rode across the island into Lumbarda area. We rode on a bunch of surfaces, main roads, dirt roads and through vineyards and villages. The biking isn't strenuous and very enjoyable. The views are great and you're able to stop in the vineyards for pictures. We biked to 2 different wineries and tested some great Local Croatian wine and snacks- oh the fresh figs! The group was only 8 people and such a great way to meet others who have a same interest in biking and traveling, and drinking good wines. Rachel was very knowledgeable and so genuine. So happy we did this tour. Would recommend this tour over and over again!
