Little Italy

Little Italy is a chic, pedestrian-friendly neighborhood, packed with trendy cocktail bars, brewpubs and restaurants with bustling patios. Upscale clothing boutiques, indie music venues and quaint piazzas dot the area, while the weekly Little Italy Mercato Farmers’ Market draws crowds to its mix of produce, gourmet food and craft stalls. The green lawns of Waterfront Park have fountains, and offer views of the bay.

Great food tour! We had no idea that San Diego had such an extensive Little Italy or that it had such delicious food. Anthony was the perfect host who chose interesting dishes at good restaurants and gave the history of the area in between courses. He has a real passion for the neighborhood an Italian food which is just what you want in a tour guide.

Adriana was awesome, Little Italy San Diego and its story is so fascinating and the curated food samples were all five star. If you’re into food or just a unique way to have dinner, try a food tour! Always a good time.

Highly recommend. I went with a group from work (mix of San Diego natives and visitors) and we all loved it. Anthony is a special story teller and the experience wouldn’t be the same without him, but the food is also unbelievable. I will bring my family in the future and recommend to others.

Anthony was an incredible host. He’s a fantastic storyteller and knew every bit of history about little Italy, the people who settled there originally, tge modern day residents and of course the food. The food was incredible, even better than expected when I expected it to be great in the first place. Something I found especially cool was how Anthony knew everyone who worked up and down the streets he held is though. He’s clearly well liked and a major part of the community there.

If you’re even thinking about booking this Italian food tour in San Diego... just do it. Trust me. Anthony was an absolute star of a host. Animated, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about both the food and the neighborhood’s history, he made the entire evening feel like dinner with your most interesting (and funniest) friend… who just happens to know everything. We strolled through the historic neighborhood, stopping at four incredible spots: three fantastic restaurants and an authentic Italian grocer, each offering something completely different. The variety was perfect, and every bite was thoughtfully paired with historical context, cultural stories, and fun anecdotes that made the experience so much richer than just “eating your way through town.” It wasn’t just a food tour... it was a history lesson, a cultural deep dive, and a genuinely memorable night out all rolled into one. I would 100% recommend this for: Tourists wanting to experience San Diego beyond the obvious spots Corporate groups looking for a fun, engaging team experience And honestly? Locals. Be a tourist in your own city. You’ll walk away seeing it differently. It is a "must do"if you plan to be in San Diego! Great stories and excellent food in Little Italy! Adriana was superb- her stories were so informative and interesting along with a great history of the area. She certainly knew the best restaurants to go visit and eat at!
