Choose between Waiotapu or Oarakei Korako geothermal areas for your first stop on this 7-hour day trip. Then see Huka Falls, Lake Taupo and the surrounding areas. Admission fees to the thermal area of your choice are included, but lunch is at your own expense. This guided small-group tour operates with a maximum of 11 passengers and includes pickup from your centrally located accommodation in Rotorua.
Please note that this tour is not suitable for children under 2 years, as part of the group - It can be booked as a private group tour - please ask TripAdvisor/Viator to contact us for the custom price

Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland
One of the most vibrant and active thermal parks in the region. Please note, this is ONLY included if you choose the Waiotapu and Lake Taupo OPTION. You can choose between Waiotapu or Orakei Korako for your tour - unfortunately there is not time to visit both.
Orakei Korako Cave & Thermal Park
Also known as the Hidden Valley this is an large thermal valley with many small geysers, mudpools and boiling water. Please note, this is ONLY included if you choose the Orakei Korako and Lake Taupo OPTION. You can choose between Waiotapu or Orakei Korako for your tour - unfortunately there is not time to visit both.

5.00I had a wonderful time today. The whole trip was very well-organized and the timing for each spot was perfect. The scenery was breathtaking, and I felt very well taken care of throughout the day. Highly recommend this experience to everyone visiting Taupo!

5.00Absolutely awesome experience! Winie was was an incredible guide and was a font of information. The Devil's Bath was mind blowing. I thought pictures I had seen before were altered, but in actuality, it was even better in person. Wonderful tour. Highly recommend it!!!

3.00The Maori cultural activities are interesting, but there is no chance to watch the performance on the riverside due to too many people. The night walk could be more interesting if more information were given when walking through the bush (again too many people).

5.00The coloured waters at Wai-O-Tapu are amazing and the walks are strong but not arduous. Huka Falls are beautiful and scary! Taupo was also lovely and the Lady Geyser was very cool. Going on a tour was a great option and I want to thank our wonderful host and driver - Sandra had wonderful flexibility, thoughtfulness and knowledge. It was so much fun!

5.00This was a fun trip, I thoroughly enjoyed the day. Orakei Korako was a fascinating geothermal wonderland and totally loved the Huka falls. Lake Taupo was a nice place to have lunch. The tour itself was delegated to another operator and Sylvia was our driver. She was nice and friendly and gave ample time at all stops to explore at our own pace.
