Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary
Sacred Monkey Forest It’s a sacred site and conservation sanctuary located in Padangtegal Village, Ubud, featuring lush jungle, ancient temples, and a free-roaming population of Balinese long-tailed macaques—around 1,200 to 1,260 monkeys as of 2023. The site was established by locals in the 14th century and remains an integral part of traditional Hindu Balinese spiritual life. The site operates under the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, promoting harmony between humans, nature, and the divine, with strong emphasis on conservation, education, and respectful visitor interaction. With about 12.5 hectares you will walk along side the jungle forest where you will meet hundreds of friendly monkeys swinging on the trees. This area also have three historic temples, which is the main temple called Pura Dalem Agung Padangtegal.
Tegalalang Rice Terrace
Tegalalang Rice Terrace is one of Bali's most famous and picturesque rice terraces, located in the village of Tegalalang, just north of Ubud. Known for its stunning beauty and unique traditional irrigation system called "subak," the terraces are a prime example of Bali's rich agricultural heritage. The area is renowned for its scenic, tiered rice paddies that cascade down the hillside, creating a mesmerizing view that attracts tourists, photographers, and nature lovers. The Tegalalang Rice Terrace offers visitors the opportunity to walk along the narrow paths between the fields, take in the panoramic views, and learn about the traditional Balinese farming methods. It's also a popular spot for sunrise and sunset photography, as the light creates dramatic contrasts with the lush greenery.

5.00Great tour. Mangkok our driver was profesional, careful, attentive and funny the entire trip and the sights are trully worth the effort. The exception are the rice fields that are definetly overrated and should be mostly avoided if you’re not into standing in long lines for a picture. Instead just ask your driver to take you to another intresting place in the area. Mangkok was nice enough to take us to a great coffe plantation and we had a great experience. So all in all a very good experience with a very good driver. I higly recomend it

5.00Our driver Mankok was amazing. He was a very safe driver. He packed a lot of activities into our day. He shared a lot of information about different things in the area. He was very helpful assisting my wife in and out of the vehicle as she needs extra help sometimes. I recommend him to anyone and everyone. He is certainly my driver of choice

5.00We had a great experience with Mawe as our guide. He was very thoughtful and flexible, especially when the weather suddenly changed. He adjusted the plan perfectly and still made sure we had a wonderful day. He also took beautiful photos for us and shared interesting information. Highly recommend!

5.00We booked a tour in Ubud with Mangkok and the process was super easy. What we loved most was that we could tell them what we wanted to see, and they tailored the experience to our interests. We were shown many interesting places and everything was explained in a clear way. On top of that, we even got some great tips for the rest of our trip in Bali. 5.00We had an amazing experience with Mangkok in Ubud! He was incredibly friendly and funny. He took us to all the places we wanted to see and even more. The car was air-conditioned and very comfortable, which made the journey even more enjoyable. What we appreciated most was how much Mangkok shared with us about Balinese culture and history. He also took all our photos throughout the day, making sure we captured every special moment. Thank you, Mangkok, for such a memorable day, we highly recommend him to anyone visiting Bali!

5.00We did this tour with Mangkok. And it has been great even if we do not speak well Spanish has helped us with the mobile translator and has advised us on the places to go and seniors to help us at all times has been an incredible guide to seniors has taken some very nice photos.
