The experience was well organised and the staff was very welcoming. My main concern was that we were a group of about 70 people and that kind of ruined the experience, if it would have been kept down to 20/30 max it would have been much more enjoyable. I’ll start with the good part, which was the last stop with the stargazing, Teide National park is very beautiful and at night is worth seeing as well. We had full moon so visibility was very good and gave it a beautiful eerie vibe, and we could still see plenty of stars up there even with the moonlight. They had 4 telescopes and the explanations were really interesting with the lasers to see the different constellations, the guides seemed to be very knowledgable and kept it entertaining. We got to see through the telescope a constellation, closeup of the moon and Saturn which was excellent. Now the bad part. First stop was the food, I’d say it was average at best, I decided to try the chicken and it was very dry, the pork didn’t look much better and the vegetarian option was just a dish of side salad. Though expected in these type of tours unfortunately, it’s a shame that they do it this way. The next stop was the sunset, we just barely made it on time, the sunset itself was beautiful, but through the days there in the island this wasn’t the best spot by far to see it. They go there because they can park the bus and accommodate the group of about 70 people rather than go to a much better place to see it for the beauty of it. Here they offered drinks, which a lot of people take it, though you will be standing in the cold for about the next 3h in a national park in a location where there is no toilet, people should’ve made aware of this before as from the tour is not very responsible to have a large group of people relieving themselves in a location where it is not allowed to preserve the environment, and doing this multiple times a week. Alcohol, high altitude and low temperatures don’t go well together and this didn’t feel like responsible type of tourism. Finally the lasts stop was the stargazing, which as mentioned in the beginning was really nice but again the large group meant we only got to see three things in the telescopes for a few seconds each, as each time you had 70 people waiting to see. Overall I am happy with the experience, but when I go back to Tenerife in the future I want to do stargazing again, I will be looking for a better experience that aligns more with what I expected.

Great experience! Very knowledgeable guides; I went home with some good fun facts about the island and sky. Also love that the photos are free.

An excellent event hosted by Craig & Kieran who gave a very professional, friendly and amusing tour of the stars and constellations above Mount Teide. The journey up the mountain was easy with a stop midway at a traditional restaurant that served us a simple but very tasty dinner with drinks. I can really recommend this tour but do dress up warm as the temp does drop at the top although warm jackets are provided if needed. Many thanks to Craig & Kieran.

This was a good excursion -- the dinner stop was great -- really good food. The sunset was gorgeous. The telescopes provided amazing views. The staff was quite helpful and accommodating. Due to the advice provided in advance by the tour company, we "dressed in layers" and were very comfortable with the night temperatures. My advice to them and to someone who takes this tour would be this: 1. Since the "modern" bathrooms are closed at the sunset viewing site, UPON ARRIVAL there, show attendees where the alternative is (since it is a bit of a hike) and send the first woman and the first guy with a roll of toilet paper. It is not possible for most people, to go 5-7 hours (particularly in the night air) without facilities after providing a meal with beverages. Depending on a person's return point, it could be up to 7 hours without a bathroom after the dinner stop. 2. Between the sunset viewing and then the star gazing, people need to stand for a minimum of 4 hours on hard and uneven ground / volcanic rock. There is no seating at the sunset stop (but you can walk around) and the only seating at the star gazing is a rock wall that would be workable IF it was not made of jagged volcanic rock. And "walking around" is risky on volcanic rock in the pitch dark. We tried to sit on the wall for a while, but that was so uncomfortable that we finally went to the van and missed the last 2 viewings at the telescopes. While it is thoughtful that the staff brings a few jackets for those who can't plan (since all of the instructions advised tourists to dress for warmth in the night air), that seems far less necessary than providing long, narrow strips of padded cushions to put on top of the jagged rock wall. We all could have taken turns sitting on the "padded" wall and lining up at the telescopes. The cushions would not need to be bulky - just enough thickness to "blunt / smooth out" the jagged rocks. This was a nice tour but would have been a GREAT tour if we had not had to scavenge for tissues to use in the "auxiliary" bathroom (which did have running water and a flush toilet), and if we would have been able to sit on the rock wall without extreme discomfort while waiting for our turn to view and / or while the telescopes were being reset for the next viewing - which took a fair amount of time. The information about the "night skies" and what we were seeing was excellent.
