The Telica volcano is located 30 kilometers from the city of Leon and belongs to the Maribios mountain chain. It is 1060 meters high and its crater has a depth of 120 meters and 700 meters of diameter. The last violent eruption was in 1948.
Once arrived to the crater you can see the large amount of smoke and gases released by the volcano as well as lava or glowing stones inside.

5.00I had such an amazing time!! Still speechless...the hike was beautiful and not too exhausting, seeing the sunset and the sunrise from the top of the vulcano the next morning was even more impressive. Our Guides Sam & Norlan were very nice and so well prepared - especially the food was a 10/10 for a Camping trip!Thanks for the nice experience, definitely not my last time camping on a vulcano! :-)
