  This is an extremely challenging hike. The difficulty level was unexpected. Our guide was very helpful and patient and encouraging.

  Varied and interesting . We experienced fantastic views and scenery of the north side of Tenerife. Alex was very encouraging at some tricky parts of the hike and we were well looked after. Weather is changeable so wear long light trousers and a warm top .

  We signed up for this hike as a day trip off our cruise boat. Alex met us in a public park where we were joined by other cruisers. After making sure of our ship departure times that day, off we go into the mountains - - but not before a brief comfort stop at a market (Alex knows his customers!). First were photo opportunities at some amazing vistas, and then time to hike. And hike we did..... this is not for the casual walker. (If you use the elevator on a cruise ship vs. taking the stairs, then please reconsider this trip). Sturdy footwear is required as there were steep grades, loose rocks, and wet/muddy areas. Thankfully our group was well prepared. There were numerous "ooohs and aaahs" along the way and no complaints. Things even got dicey in some parts (I won't give away the surprises), but Alex was patient, helpful, and gave us the confidence we needed to carry on. This is a trip far off the beaten path, and exactly what we wanted. In summary, I highly recommend this trip if you are capable. I would hike with Alex anytime, anywhere, and hope to do so again someday.

  We found the hike to be challenging and that should be included in the description. However, we are in our 70's and were able to do the hike. Our guide, Elena, was fantastic!! Couldn't be better and her sandwiches were delicious. The views were amazing and the challenge of the hike was exhilarating. So glad we did it!

  A fantastic day out which has to be experienced to be believed. Alex was the perfect guide who led us on a walk like no other. An assault on the senses...in the best way!
