Join us on a full-day experience of the Anaga Mountains, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and one of the last ancient laurisilva forests in Europe. We will pick you up from the southern part of the island and drive to the Anaga region on the north coast.

Our first stop will be at a breathtaking viewpoint with stunning views of Volcano Teide. From here, we will walk through the green tunnel of the ancient laurisilva forest, which has been preserved here for over 10,000 years.

After enjoying the forest, we will head to a cave village nestled on the ledge of the cliffs. We will then embark on an unforgettable hike along a water channel that will lead us to some of the most harsh and untouched places on Tenerife.

Along the way, we will stop for a picnic in a natural cave with stunning views of the canyon beyond and falcons flying around us.

We saw goats and passed an actual shepherd! This hike is the perfect combination of challenge and beauty. There are lots of breaks along the way and the views are spectacular. Alex made sure we took time to take pictures and enjoy the scenery. Stick with this small group hike with a guide that loves what he does.

A worthwhile adventure with our amazing guide, Alex. It is fun and challenging hike. Alex has made it easier with his amusing narratives of the area’s history and geography, his patience not to rush those that is less capable and to let us know what to do when the trail is more difficult.

Be prepared for some effort, but although there’s some physical challenge from the terrain, the effort is more on the mental side and conquering fears. However the views throughout and satisfaction at the end make it well worth it. Alex is encouraging and makes light of otherwise maybe scary moments, he’s also well-prepared with equipment and snacks. There’s not much time in the forest, but the main hike is worth the time there. Both my husband and I would do the experience again and will be looking to see what other hikes Alex offers. We were nervous but had a great day.
