5.00Terceira is a beautiful island. The time we spent with Carolina, the tour guide, and her new VW Bus, made the experience on this island absolutely amazing. She displays a lot of warmth, and her historical knowledge makes it all worthwhile. My daughter started getting nauseous from something that she ate, and about 2 hours into the tour, she drove us back to the hotel to drop of my daughter. I can't recommend her and Azoricatours enough.

5.00I loved our full day tour with Mario and BLIKA. He answered all our questions with such a deep knowledge and love for Terceira. He gave us so much rich history of this beautiful island. We wouldn’t have been able to see Terceira in this way if it weren’t for him. All the spots he took us to were lovely. The lunch we ate was a typical Azorean meal and it was delicious! He was flexible when we wanted to change the tour a bit and visit a different part of the island. I wish Mario could follow us to São Miguel and give us a tour there as well! 10/10 would recommend BLIKA! Thanks!!!!

5.00Mario is a wealth of knowledge and history of the islands and loves to share. What I appreciated most is the he didn't shy from the ugly parts of the local history while still celebrating the good. The whole tour was on our time schedule. Mario was patient and let us explore each spot at our leisure. This was a comfortable tour, hitting all of the high spots of the island. The best part of the day was lunch where we enjoyed the local dish Alcatra, kind of a roast but much more flavor and the meat was tender. Lunch was at a working, living museum/farm so everything was source locally and fresh. Other parts of the tour included the fort on Mount Brasil and going to other various vantage point to view the layout of the pastures smoking the landscape's mosaic. We also had a chance to explore Algae do Carvao. A lava chimney with vegetation growing in the upper portion and then abundent mineral deposits as we descended lower. Highly recommend Mario and his company Blinka for anyone looking to get a well rounded experience touring Terceira.

5.00Booked this when I was unable to go hiking with my group secondary to an injury. Mario made the day absolutely wonderful. Able to see the beautiful island of Terceira with someone who was very knowledgeable, and excited about the place he lives. I was able to understand, appreciate and learn about the Azorean culture, something I would not have gotten if I had not done this tour. Mario is super!! He is very personable, easy to engage with and wants to make sure you enjoy the island as much as he does. He even went over and above to get some really good pictures for me!! If you are in Terceira for a day and want to get an overview of this beautiful island, I would definitely recommend doing it with Mario. He is phenomenal!! Thank you for such a wonderful day!!

5.00Mario was the most knowledgeable guide I have ever had. It was the most interesting day, beautiful vistas, lots of discussions ranging from geology, religion, history, meteorology, culture , you name it, he knows about his city, country and so much more. I recommend it highly.
