This was an excellent experience. The tour lady Ms. Li stayed in co tact with me up until the morning i left. She told me exactly what to do, where to go & what to bring. All i did was purchase a ticket to see the Terracotta Army. I then realized that the entire pits/grounds are massive & purchased a 5 rmb golf cart ride to Pit #1, then walked to 2 & 3 & the Mausoleum. The pricing was excellent and YES they open the gates directly at 8:15am on the dot. Please remember this is an all day event that can take 4 plus hours so bring comfortable shoes & money 😂. I would strongly advise Ms Li if your a tourist for clear instructions on what the do.

When in Xian, the Terracotta Army archeological site is a must see. We did not go with a group tour as we prefer to see at our own pace instead of being rushed around. We chose Ms Li tour and is very pleased with her detailed services. The Bingmayong site is 42km from Xian, we used the app Didi to get a ride there from our hotel near Yongningmen gate. It costs ~108 RMB or $15 and 50 minutes each way. The site has 3 excavated pits, each with its own features. Pit 1 is the largest and has a lot of statues. Pit 2 features the well preserved statue of a general, 1 out of 7 such statues. Pit 3 has a 4 horse chariot with its 3 member crew (the chariot did not survive time). There is also a museum. Note there is a free shuttle to go to another museum a few kms away to see 1 of 2 bronze chariots of Emperor Qin ( the other chariot is in the National Museum in Beijing). Overall the visit takes 3-5+ hours.

We visited the Terracotta Army museum and excavation sites in the suburbs of Xi’an on November 5. Li Tour did the entrance ticket reservations for us. She provide very detailed information including photos of the various entrances and features to ensure we did not get lost. Those informations are very helpful. We have to go to another theater show in early evening, so we did not go to the free Bronze chariots museum (we were told the chariots have very intricate designs. We saw the 3 pits and the museum. Pit 1 is the largest snd most advanced in excavations. Pit 2 has the statue of 1 out of 7 terracotta generals as with museum. Pit 3 is the smallest but it is the only one with 4 horses and the 3 crew chariot crew members. His is the 2nd time I went there. But decades ago, photographs are not allowed inside the pits. Now they are allowed, although today the crowds are much larger. If you are in Xian, the Terracotta Army is not to be missed. I would not hesitate to recommend going with Li Tour.
