The Terracotta Army is the most significant archeological excavation of the 20th century and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The large collection of life-size terra cotta sculptures in battle formations represent the imperial guard troops of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of the first unified dynasty of Imperial China.

Good tour but tour guide cared much more about selling us items. Had to tell him 4 times I did not want to meet the ‘farmer’ in which we finally left him. Would recommend for the tour but not his experience.

The main pit is incredible and the restoration work that has gone on is astounding. Such an honour to stand there and look down on the terracotta army! A true work of art!

A very interesting tour with a very informative and sympatic guide, Chelsea, who spole very good english. The diggs were impressive, huge and massive. Value for money.
