The Huguenot Mill and Loft is an incredibly beautiful historic building. Expertly maintained, it was originally where the French Protestants created a new life for themselves. They became a huge part of our textile industry, and now you can check out the incredible exterior. (It now serves as private offices and a wedding spot, so we need to remain outside).

5.00It was exactly what we needed as first time visitors to the city, and was helped by it not being a prepared speech - better that it was tailored after we were asked what interests us. Also of note is that, even though we were the only 2 on the tour he was still enthusiastic and even gave us a bit of extra time.

I really appreciated that the tour was tailored to our interests, which made the experience feel more personal and engaging. Every stop was interesting, and we learned so much throughout the tour. Walter, our tour guide, was very informative and accommodating, tailoring our itinerary to what interested us (a combo of history, nature, and interesting downtown sites).
