Akosombo
Cedi Bead Factory. Guests would get to learn the history behind the use of Ghanaian beads, how to make them and also check out already made beads displayed for purchase at the Cedi Beads Factory. These beads are handmade from recycled glasses, crushed and melted in ovens, polished and uniquely designed for occasions like puberty rites, marriages, naming ceremonies for individuals and royals. The beads are currently displayed locally and in some international museums like the Newark Museum, Dabls Mbad African Museum, and Picard Trade Bead Museum in the United States.
There will be a boat ride on Lake Volta where guests will get to see the highlands and beautiful islands surrounding Lake Volta. The Volta Lake is the largest man-made lake in Ghana and one of the largest in the world. Guests would have a view of and appreciate the popular Adomi Bridge built over Lake Volta by the first President of Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, to connect the Eastern Region to the Volta Region.
