5.00You come to Taipei for the culture, the history and the FOOD. You get all three with Garen. Amazing guide who really goes out of her way to give you the best experience possible. She contacts you early to find out your level of food experiences and you level of adventure. She tailors your tour to that. We are adventurous foodies that will try anything. She made sure we had the best time and the best food. From Taiwanese “burritos” to Stinky Tofu (which, by the way, is delicious. She interacts with the vendors like family and really encourages you to as well. She is a wealth of knowledge with regards to the history of Taiwan and its precarious geopolitical role it plays on our planet. Her insight into food and the part it plays in our health and welfare was amazing. The variety of the ten food stops is perfect. You will not be disappointed. Come hungry. We ate well, but Garen made sure the portion sizes were appropriate for the day. You get just the right amount to keep you going and not feel too full. Just right. Come to Taipei for the culture and history. STAY FOR THE FOOD.

5.00Garen was absolutely amazing! As was her personality!! I can't wait to come back and have her as a tour guide again. The tour lasted about 3 hours and was filled with delicious foods and stories/history of Taiwan. I mentioned how much I enjoyed mochi and she made sure to get me some fresh mochi =]. She helped my mother with using chopsticks and was just a really sweet and kind person.

5.00We had an amazing tour with Garen! She introduced us to lots of great spots and we got to eat a bunch of delicious items. We definitely ended the tour with extremely full bellies and also gained a lot of cultural knowledge! We liked that she tailored the spots to what we wanted and took feedback along the way. It was really fun and we'd recommend the tour to anyone!

5.00We had the best time with Kate our guide! We booked the tasting for later in the day so we ended up in a night market and it was fantastic! We were able to see all kinds of traditional food and the history behind it but we also got to try some new trendy night food. We also got to see some temples and saw the history of Taipei. Kate made us feel so welcomed and she just loves her city. She made sure to show us amazing stands that were DELICIOUS. I’m also writing this the next day and can confirm the food is all safe and did not give my husband and I an upset stomach.
