Explore one of the most beautiful and stunning Italian landscapes in the world. The Cinque Terre, “Five Villages”, is a UNESCO World Heritage site with an enchanting coastline, with rare flora and small villages that hug the coastline. You’ll have the opportunity to take incredible photos of the Italian Riviera while travelling by bus, boat and train between Vernazza, Manarola and Monterosso. Plenty of time to swim, enjoy lunch, taste home-made Italian gelato and do some shopping.

This tour gives you the opportunity to explore one of the most beautiful and stunning Italian landscapes in the world. The Cinque Terre, “Five Villages”, is a UNESCO World Heritage site with an enchanting coastline, with rare flora, and small villages that hug the coastline. You will have the chance to enjoy incredible views and scenery from the boat (weather permitting) and take splendid panoramic photos of the villages, characterised by their colourful houses. We will stop to visit the charming villages of: Vernazza, the tiniest and most unique village thanks to its medieval castle; Manarola, with its ancient case-torri; and Monterosso, the biggest fishing village of the Cinque terre. Monterosso is also renowned for its amazing beaches, so you will have plenty of time for a swim. We suggest to try a delicious artisan gelato by the beach, an incredible experience!

5.00We three had a great day out with Luigi and our little group, exploring the Cinque Terre. He was full of information, including lunch recommendations, where to get the best gelato (basil-flavoured gelato is a must-try), sample limoncello and presented us with generous portions of foccaccia and pesto to try. Taking ferries between the villages is a wonderful way to travel, as you get beautiful waterside views of the villages with no walking. Luigi as a guide was so helpful. My mother had a broken arm and he was very solicitous of "Mamma" and her needs. When she left her sunglasses behind in a restaurant, he made a special trip several days later to return them to me. Having had this taster of the region, I can't wait to go back to CT (and maybe visit some of the other places he pointed out on the way from Lucca)
Cinque Terre is worth the effort!

5.00Cinque Terre is an amazing place to visit. The views from these old villages are fantastic. The ferry ride between villages gives you a different perspective. We are not particularly fond of long van rides, but this tour was worth the effort. Expect two hours in the van each way from Lucca. Valerie is a very friendly and knowledgeable guide; she made the experience very pleasant and looked after our group.

5.00Be sure to note there is some walking up hills and steps the towns are charming, but they are located up the hills from the sea. We were able to take the ferry between towns and train back. The tour company did a great job with scheduling arrivals, breaks and travel events. They managed to keep our group on schedule and moving even though some places were very crowded. The tour guides provided regional information, tour specific content and shopping/ dining recommendations. Breaks and free time were perfect. Loved the location and could not ask for a better support team to help us get the most from our visit. They earned our trust.
