Along with its beauty and history, the Slanic Salt Mine is also one of the biggest therapeutic sites in Romania, a two-level mine featuring a microclimate with natural air-conditioning and constant temperature and atmospheric pressure throughout the year.
Going further up the mountain, we have the opportunity to take a glance at how Romanians lead their lives in the Carpathians in picturesque villages full of traditional decorations and household items.

5.00This tour was fantastic. We had originally booked the Sinaia tour but as it was a private tour our guide Vladi gave us the option to change based on our preferences. Vladi was amazing at giving us the history of Romania relevant to the places we were visiting or driving through, we learned so much! He ensured we were comfortable at all times and helped us with ticket purchase at the mine. The Slanic mine is well worth a visit, unlike anything we'd seen before! Getting to drive up into the mountains, see a beautiful dam and lake, and even sample local honey were bonus experiences. This style of tour means that you learn the context for it as well. Highly recommend!

5.00The salt mine was impressive in its size. Johnny (our guide) was amazing, very professional, very helpful, and a very cheerful person during the entire trip. Highly Recommended for a full day trip!!

3.00Our guide is the reason we loved this trip. He went out of his way to get a reservation for us to see the Parliament which we though we didn't have time for. The salt mine is interesting and seeing the Carpathian Mountains we nice too.

5.00We found out the day before that the salt mine was no longer available to be seen on our day. Our guide, Jony, put together a wonderful alternate itinerary, especially including Mogosoaia Palace. We had a wonderful day with a very good guide.

5.00One day trip from the early morning to the evening, it was wonderful! We visited the amazing salt mines, the villages, experienced the way the countryside lived and ended up in an excellent restaurant in Sinai. A must-see. Our guide Alex speaks Hebrew was perfect! funny and patient.

5.00And Eddie arranged for us a great trip and together with Alex the guide the experience was just great!!! We were picked up from the hotel, we drove to the Salt Caves and then a tour of the villages.

Vlad filed us and shere with us his great noleg about romaine history. We must say.. Vlad your great, nice and we injoied you’re company and tour to meet really Romainian people and traditions.
