• Good diving experience, needs better management

  Our experience started with poor communication and organization from the hotel staff. We were instructed by the hotel staff to wait at the entrance and were repeatedly told that the receptionist would arrive shortly, so we waited there for about 30 minutes. However, the receptionist was actually waiting at the dock. Due to this miscommunication, we almost missed the trip. When we explained the situation we experienced, it was not handled at all. Instead, all responsibility was placed on us, and we were told that we arrived late, despite the fact that we had been waiting at the entrance for a long time. We were then rushed to pay the required USD 13 per person. At the same time, another couple mentioned they had already been waiting for over an hour and a half. The diving experience itself was very good. The boat is nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. The marine life was beautiful, and the food provided was also enjoyable. However, a significant concern is that no headcount was conducted before or after each dive. This is an important safety issue that should be improved. Overall, the diving was enjoyable, but the organization, communication, and safety procedures need improvement

  At first I wasn’t sure- we were waiting and people were getting on a boat ahead of us and we were told it wasn’t ours because ‘they paid more for the catamaran’ and the boat picked us up about 40 min late from the time we were given. We were on a speedboat. But then….everything was fabulous! Will and Charlie were amazing- accommodating everyone and helping to point out various Marie life. They explained everything and were very kind. At the area with the turtles, somehow I missed them so Will took me to find one eating so I could enjoy the beauty. I had no idea the rest of the group was already on the boat waiting. He knew how much I wanted to see the turtles! I was sooooo happy! I was also afraid to jump off the side of the boat so he put the ladder down for me. Then- at the shallow stop- they prepared a feast of ceviche and pineapple and chips and drinks! It was just an amazing experience!! Thank you Will and Charlie- I wish I had more cash for a tip than I was able to give because you all deserved much more! Thank you!

  The tour was beautiful, Alex super attentive. At the pier the weather was a bit bad, but we relied on the experience of the guides and yes, upon arrival the weather was very good. On the tour we saw everything: goldfish, turtles, mantarays, and even a little shark. The delicious ceviche. Highly recommended.

  Saw 2 turtles, and we liked the giant starfish. We were not in the water very long at each of the 3 stops. Takes an hour to get to the snorkel location, with 3 stops to pick up other snorkelers at the hotels along the way. Wish there was more time in the water.

  We had an amazing experience on this excursion! It was easy to find the meeting point once arriving from the ferry then a short walk to the dock. Gio gave a great explanation of what to expect and the timeline for the day. The first coral reef we stopped at had a wide variety of different fish and was a beautiful site. We got very lucky at the second stop, seeing multiple turtles which was a bucket list item for me! When we got to the third stop, it was incredible seeing all the star fish and we got extra lucky seeing an older turtle snacking on one of them! The last stop was my absolute favourite, getting to be around tons of rays in waist deep water!! The rays were so curious, swimming around our feet and in between all of us. This was hands down the best snorkelling experience I’ve ever had and I will be recommending this excursion/Cozumel to anyone else interested in having such an amazing time! A huge shoutout to Gio, our guide, who pointed out all of the different species we saw in the water and taking photos, and Edgar, who navigated us to all these great sites and getting us back safely. Some individuals in our group supplied there own snorkelling gear, but all equipment was available if needed. I would highly suggest bringing an underwater camera and/or a waterproof case for phones as there was tons of opportunities for pictures. We did purchase the photo package as a group, and the video of the turtles alone made it super worth it! This will be a treasured memory forever and I could not recommend this excursion enough.

  

  

• Poor weather poor experience

  Unfortunately this day was incredibly rough seas and bouncing with rain ( We had booked ahead so no way to know this) From our initial embarkation- which was a challenge with the rough sea to the first stop to collect more guest was 2 miles. Within the first 30 seconds we were all soaked to the skin on this very very basic boat. Not a problem we were going to get wet anyway. The captain then engaged the speed and it became really uncomfortable bouncing in the rough sea. Slamming down from the swell. My husband became ill. Rather than just ride it out for him and the other passengers who would not enjoy a person constantly vomiting I decided we should end our journey before it began. Disembarking was even more challenging given the swell. A family with younger children were waiting to get on and the children were screaming crying not wanting to go I did request consideration of a refund given we had not started the trip and the boat was not sold out so we weren’t stopping others the opportunity but was curtly refused. Observation the staff were helpful and advised their manager we left by taking a photo to help with a refund which was later denied Staff used bin liners to keep dry. Would be useful to new customers to advise bring waterproof clothing for the speed boat portion Also a suitable warning that at times the boat can get very uncomfortable with violent bouncing for those who don’t travel well

  My grandson and I went to Secrets dock at 11:45 am since we were told to meet boat at 12 noon.  Boat arrived at Aura dock after 1pm. We were waiting too long! During snorkel stops, the boat captain did not stay close to snorkel group, like dive boats follow divers. I asked him twice to move closer to the group in the event someone has difficulties. He did move closer after being asked. There were 17 guests plus 3 crew. Small boat. Very bumpy ride. Rained earlier before trip but stopped around 10am. Windy and cold, water warm. Grandson saw 3 turtles, and at El Cielo we saw 3 sting rays, puffer fish (trunk fish), pipe fish, parrot fish and chubs. Snacks offered were tasty. Crew were pleasant and accommodating. I would have preferred a bigger boat.

  Very enjoyable tour. All three personnel were helpful and did a great job identifying our itinerary, safety, and what to expect. The crew was very attentive to individual needs. We will go on this trip again in 2026.
