This tour goes beyond surface‑level sightseeing and weaves the sites, people, and turning points of Boston’s iconic Freedom Trail into one immersive, chronological journey. Rather than a checklist of disconnected highlights, this small‑group, scholar‑crafted experience lets you follow step by step and start-to-finish how a small colonial town sparked a world‑changing revolution.
You’ll visit 14-plus official landmarks including Paul Revere’s House, the Old North Church, and the Old State House as our expert storytelling brings to life the Sons of Liberty, the Boston Massacre, the Tea Party, the Midnight Ride, and Bunker Hill—and you grasp how they all fit together. The content is as entertaining as it is educational, so you learn without ever feeling taught.

Boston City Hall
We meet at the heart of the city — the exact site of Boston's founding — directly across from Faneuil Hall. While the group gathers, your guide introduces the neighborhoods you'll explore using original historical maps, giving you a clear picture of the city before it became the city. By the time we set off, you'll already understand something most visitors never do: why the American Revolution didn't JUST happen in Boston, but why it could ONLY have happened here.
King's Chapel Burying Ground
Who were the Pilgrims? Who were the Puritans? What were they running from, and what were they running toward? At Boston's oldest burying ground, we uncover the people who first settled Massachusetts Bay and the convictions they carried with them.
Expert, fun-loving guide leveraging historic maps and visuals for easy understanding.

Chris does an excellent job of telling the story of Boston’s role in the American Revolution. If you’re looking for a costumed guide, that’s not him. If you’re looking for someone who can tell the story in a relatable way with maps and visuals, Chris is your guide. I would recommend him especially if you have teenagers or twenty somethings because Chris does a good job with modern analogies. The thing I appreciate most about Chris is that he has the ability to walk backwards while he talks. This is great because you can see his face and hear every word he says. Go with Chris!

Mike is an outstanding tour guide with a unique and enlightening perspective that provides insight into the people that gave rise to the American revolution. With a big voice that rises over all street noises, Mike covers not just the events, but the personalities that drove the events. Humorous and entertaining while still evoking the gravity of the events. Mike is the guide you want if you want to know what went down in 1770s Boston.

We have done so many city tours globally and this may be the #1 Best Tour we’ve ever taken. Our Guide “Rob” is a superb teacher with a PhD in history who told the history of Boston and the American Revolution in such an engaging way and kept the group’s interest for the entire 3 hours. We learned so many interesting facts and loved how he moved through the tour in a storytelling manner. Thanks so much Rob for sharing your knowledge with us in such a memorable way. If you are going to do a historical tour of Boston then choose this one!!
