This tour goes beyond surface‑level sightseeing and weaves the sites, people, and turning points of Boston’s iconic Freedom Trail into one immersive, chronological journey. Rather than a checklist of disconnected highlights, this small‑group, scholar‑crafted experience lets you follow step by step and start-to-finish how a small colonial town sparked a world‑changing revolution.
You’ll visit 14-plus official landmarks including Paul Revere’s House, the Old North Church, and the Old State House as our expert storytelling brings to life the Sons of Liberty, the Boston Massacre, the Tea Party, the Midnight Ride, and Bunker Hill—and you grasp how they all fit together. The content is as entertaining as it is educational, so you learn without ever feeling taught.

Boston City Hall
We meet at the heart of the city — the exact site of Boston's founding — directly across from Faneuil Hall. While the group gathers, your guide introduces the neighborhoods you'll explore using original historical maps, giving you a clear picture of the city before it became the city. By the time we set off, you'll already understand something most visitors never do: why the American Revolution didn't JUST happen in Boston, but why it could ONLY have happened here.
King's Chapel Burying Ground
Who were the Pilgrims? Who were the Puritans? What were they running from, and what were they running toward? At Boston's oldest burying ground, we uncover the people who first settled Massachusetts Bay and the convictions they carried with them.

This was the most interesting, entertaining, educational and captivating walking tour we have been on. We have been on many tours and he kept our attention and engaged us for 3-3.5 hours in early American history, which is not easy! Mike is very knowledgable and brought all of into the story really well. We will definitely recommend this tour to others!

We learned so much! Mike provided an in depth narrative of the origins of the revolution in Boston and the people involved. We walked from place to place and Mike’s story continued to build. He had great visual aids that complimented his story. We loved it and highly recommend this tour!

Lots of information, our guide certainly knew his stuff. He was able to answer any questions put to him with confidence. Just sorry I can't remember what he was called?

THIS is the tour you want to take for the Freedom Trail. Mike had all the knowledge and the voice to do it - without the costume!

This was an exceptionally detailed tour of Boston Revolutionary History. We have done several tours in Boston, but none of them “told the story.” This tour walked us through the story of Boston chronologically showing us the who, the where and the how. This is not a tour for the weak at heart, or legs. We walked all over the Boston peninsular at a brisk pace. When we reached a site we stopped and discussed what happened and Tom answered all of our questions and expanded the story if we wanted details. Which might also explain some of the brisk walking, because Tom really wanted all of us to understand the times and the events. Truly a great tour that I highly recommend to anyone interested in the actual history of our country and Boston in particular.

Lot of information. Lot of uneven walking. 2 1/2 hour tour with breaks half way turned out to be 2 1/2 hours till first break. Left at break. couldn't stand another 2 1/2 hours uneven walkways.
