Led by early 19th-century merchant Thomas Rawlings, this walking tour reveals the secrets behind Padstow’s historic landmarks. Expect vivid storytelling, strange true tales, and spooky goings-on—not just from the past, but from locals still spooked today. From old houses to a 16th century coaching inn, the medieval St Petroc’s Church and more, you’ll experience Padstow’s ghostly side like never before, with new sightings added often.

Perfect for curious travellers who love hidden gems and a few shivers with their stories.

Well behaved dogs welcome.

Parental guidance is advised for children under 10 due to references to historical punishments and local legends involving death.

There is an uphill section after the church for a walk of about 100m. A powered wheelchair would cope, but pushing a manual chair difficult.

We will be introduced to the spirit of a local merchant, then hear about two haunted inns, including a former coaching inn that once bustled with travellers. Then it's into the old town passing shops with spooks, pubs brimming with tradition and a former music hall. Onwards to the impressive St Petroc’s Church, a centrepiece of Padstow’s medieval past.

Jeff was a terrific guide. Very knowledgeable, friendly and funny. We happened upon the tour accidentally and he welcomed us in. Highly recommend if you find yourself in Padstow on a dark and stormy evening.

Well, we saw Padstow, learnt lots about the history and so called ghost of the area. We definitely wouldn’t have seen so much of the area without the tour. It was the most cold and wet evening but lovely to get out with the family and dog! Even though the guide must have done this chat a hundred times but he was still engaged.l and kept our interest. Thank you!

Was OK but he ran out of steam more info on ghosts and history and less about himself from the past it did not work for me !!!!

Absolutely wonderful. It was fantastic learning about the history of Padstow and Cornwall during this ghost walk. Going in the autumn, when it gets darker earlier, made it even more atmospheric! Geoff was absolutely brilliant with the group of teenage school children that we took. I would highly recommend 👍

I had a thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining evening with our guide Thomas Rawlings! To hear about things from an 18th Century merchant of Padstow was fascinating. The story of Annie Rawlings was very sad and moving to hear, we walked away from that house picturing her ghostly presence in the top floor of what is now one of Padstow's leading restaurants! As we walked up to the church, right on cue an owl started hooting really adding to the spooky atmosphere along with clear starry night sky . A great evening in Padstow!

Interesting ,presentation was slightly amateur ,seems to be more things "flying/moving off shelves" than ghosts though ? presenter should update research a bit, however it was entertaining and I would say "give it a go"

A great evening out exploring the towns myths and legends of ghosts and ghoulies. Very informative with lots of local history and finding places we would not have known about. Great theatrics and good atmosphere. Highly recommend for an evenings entertainment.
