We will stroll through the streets of Athens City Center while visiting traditional Greek street food vendors; true Athenian icons, multi-generational family businesses, and new commendable food entrepreneurs.
We truly believe that our curated experience is one of the best things to do on your first day in Athens. It’s a fantastic way to get your bearings, learn fun facts and stories about Greece & Athens and its culture, and to get recommendations and tips for your stay.

We will stroll through the streets of Athens City Center while visiting traditional Greek street food vendors; true Athenian icons, multi-generational family businesses, and new commendable food entrepreneurs. Sample menu Sweet & Savory pies that you will never forget (i.e. Cheese Pie, Spinach Pie) Koulouri (toasted sesame bread ring) - Greece’s favourite breakfast on the run. this round-shaped bread is packed with good carbohydrates and proteins. Organic olive oil tasting. A traditionally brewed Greek coffee
This beautiful and vibrant square used to be the home of the city’s flower market. Only a couple flower vendors remain, as the rest have been replaced by café bars & eateries, becoming one of the hottest spots in town. Easy to reach no matter where you’re coming from, self-contained and peaceful, with no bothersome thru-traffic, the thriving square is teeming with life most hours of the day. We will enjoy a special delicacy from Crete, a pie like no other. It's called Sfakiani and is thin like crepe with soft cheese inside and honey on top! Sample Menu: Rakomelo: This famous alcoholic mixed drink is made by combining Raki (a grape flavoured brandy), with honey and warm spices like cardamom, cinnamon and local herbs.

5.00We booked this Athen Bites tour from Rhonda Zorman of Enjoy Life Vacations in the USA and what a find this was! And Valentina, just perfect for us! Valentina from Athen Bites was terrific, an absolute gem! This was one of the highlights welcoming us back to Athens after many years she guided us through a 1/2 day food journey through the streets and locale eateries blending incredible flavors with the authenticity of Greek food and culture. It felt like for us, like a knowledgeable friend guiding us around rather than being led by a tour guide. We never once felt rushed or overwhelmed everything flowed naturally. Valentina was enthusiastic, engaging, and very open to questions and conversation which really made this experience even more memorable. If you’re looking for a genuine taste of Athens this is not to be missed.

5.00Valentina was the BEST guide. She knows the area and GREAT food. We got history while tasting the best Athens had to offer. This was our food tour and would do it again in a heart beat especially with Valentina!!!

5.00We had the most amazing day with Valentini at the start of March! You could tell she was genuinely excited to share information about both the food and the history of Athens. She was very easy going and upbeat. Loved her photography work! Lol. All of the stops were excellent, and my only regret is that we did this on our last day in Greece!! Thank Valentini for making it a memorable day. :-)

5.00An absolutely amazing tour! I was initially skeptical—having never done a food tour before, and the price seemed a bit high—but it was worth every single penny. It’s not just about the delicious and plentiful food (though that alone would be enough!). It’s the incredible stories, the thoughtful connections between each stop, the relaxed pace, the atmosphere, and the carefully selected venues. You can tell this itinerary was crafted with care and attention to every detail. A special shoutout to our guide, Valentini—she’s a truly genuine and kind-hearted person, full of knowledge, passion, and positive energy. Her mission was clearly to make sure everyone had a great time, and she absolutely succeeded. Highly recommend this delicious, educational, and fun tour. A must-do when in Athens!

5.00Excellent tour and Valentini was great. I am late in posting a review, but found all the photos that Valentini took of our family and had to post. She made the day fun and informative and took us off the beaten path for some local finds. The souvlaki was delish and the dairy tasting was unexpected. Highly recommend.

5.00We did the tour with a group of friends during the Christmas period and even though we all grew up in Athens, we uncovered some hidden gems in the historical centre of the city. The overall planning and organisation was impeccable and made the tour an unforgettable experience with lots of great food, deserts (and some cheeky drinks to wash everything down). Such a great thing to do in Athens, we all loved it!

5.00It was a fantastic walk in the center of Athens!! So different and tasteful at the same time! Pleasant walk without rush and stress and stress!! Many stops to taste outstanding flavors! We did this walk together with our kids and really at the end of the walk they told us that they had a great time because it was a different walk in the city centre!!! The van is an excellent "chief" showed us points in our city that we had not passed...never! K of course told us stories about Athens that we had never heard!! It was a special day for all of us, small and large and we enjoy it to the fullest! I strongly recommend the tour with “chief” the Athens Bites” for you and your company! As well as a special experience for team bonding with your colleagues/co-workers! We will definitely do it again!
