For those looking to dive deeper into the mushing world, The Husky Forest Escape offers a longer, more immersive 10 km self-drive husky adventure. Drive your own sled and feel the rhythm of your dog team as you travel deeper into the pristine Lappish forest, away from the crowds and into the heart of nature. You'll start by meeting your team of huskies and learning the basics of sled handling. Once on the trail, the connection between you and the dogs grows with every kilometer. The route includes varied terrain, giving you a real feel of what it’s like to be a musher. Ideal for adventurous spirits and nature lovers who want a more extended and authentic husky safari experience. One sled accommodates 2 adults and 2–3 children. Groups with an uneven number of participants will be paired with other guests.

5.00Had a very nice trip with Baba Husky team. Good explanation, nice Safari, with a relatively smaller group. Partly because of this, it was clear and we could continue in general, without many stops. During the planned stop to change drivers, photos were taken by the team. Very nice activity, recommended!

5.00Once in a lifetime, incredible experience - do it!! The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and safe. The location was remote but not far from Rovaniemi. The dogs were amazing with people and well cared for.

5.00Our 10 km ride with Baba Husky was truly an unforgettable experience — easily one of the highlights of our trip! From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized. The staff arrived at the collection point early — and we were actually picked up about 15 minutes before the scheduled time. They were courteous, polite, and immediately made us feel comfortable by starting friendly conversations. It was such a warm and welcoming start to the adventure. Upon arrival at the farm, we were greeted with genuine excitement — not just from the staff, but from the dogs as well! You could immediately feel how much they love what they do. All the provided shoes and garments were clean, fresh, and looked brand new. Everything was well-prepared and very professional. The huskies themselves were in excellent shape — healthy, energetic, and clearly eager to run. Seeing their enthusiasm to pull the sled was amazing. It was obvious that they are well cared for and loved. The 10 km forest ride was simply magical. The snowy forest and the tracks were absolutely stunning — peaceful, scenic, and straight out of a winter fairytale. Gliding through the forest behind a team of powerful, happy huskies is something that’s hard to describe — you just have to experience it. It was thrilling, serene, and breathtaking all at once. After the ride, we were invited inside and served hot beverages and biscuits, which was the perfect way to warm up. The staff also took the time to explain the different types of huskies and share interesting information about the dogs. It added a meaningful and educational touch to an already incredible experience. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. 5.00A fabulous moment! Our musher guide was super friendly, funny and kind. You can feel in this "farm" a real love of animals. The welcome was warm and the walk a real pleasure in the forest. I should have booked a longer ride... I don’t like (and am afraid of) dogs, I let myself be drawn into this activity by the family and I loved it! Not to be missed!!!

5.00You will be given warm clothing and boots to wear- they encourage you to wear what they provide instead of your own. Fantastic experience, Jim, our guide was so knowledgeable, he really seemed to know the dogs individual personalties and he seemed to really care for them. . Was such a peaceful experience, very educational as well.

5.00Enriching and fun experience, the dogs are happy and the walk is an experience to live. The duration of the walk is almost an hour but it goes very fast!

5.00The most incredible experience. Please do not hold back booking this incredible experience. From start to finish it was incredible. Greeted by the instructors outside. Supplied with thick clothing and boots. Quick intro into the equipment. Beautiful 10km route; stopped half way for change of driver and photography opportunity. Back at base we had a lovely hot chocolate and biscuits around the fire! Instructors have a great insight into the husky’s! Then we were taken to the kennels of the 8 months old huskey! We got to hold Speedy. We were very apprehensive because our huskey experience with an alternative company was cancelled due to the cold weather; but colder the better! 10km is a very short route for the huskey; family run business in a beautiful remote location; more expensive in comparison but would pay in a heart beat again! Please support local business instead of tourism attractions!
