We from Awa Salu Kiteboarding Curacao, offer you premium, high quality kite lessons. We are looking out for you with a high focus on technique and safety.
We are located at the A-spot for kiteboarding on the mainland of Curaçao at the St. Joris bay. Before and after your lessons you can get the tips and watch the tricks of the local kiteboarder in their habitat.
The water is both shallow and deep, for practicing all aspects of kiteboarding. For the more advanced courses we practice walking the kite and launching and landing the kite on land.
Wondering if kiteboarding is for you? Learning to kiteboard is like learning to drive a car. A kid could learn it. After a couple of lessons, you will get the hang of it and go as slow or fast, high or low as you want to go.

During this one week course you will transform into a kiteboarder. You will understand the kite, know how to safely land and launch the kite, ride, turn, make basic safety assessments and more skills. Before and after your lessons you can get the tips and watch the tricks of the local kiteboarder in their habitat.

5.00I did the 5-day course in 3 days and had a great time. It was fairly intense, so it is advisable to be somewhat fit but Kim pays close attention to you, gives very good advice and knows when you need a break. She also has a lot of patience and explains everything with love often enough because you forget (her own words) a lot anyway, simply because it is not an easy sport to learn. But precisely because it requires effort (both physical and mental), the satisfaction of kiting is as beautiful once it succeeds. Thanks again, Kim! If I ever come back to Curacao I will definitely visit again!

5.00Best way to spend my birthday! Kim took great care of me - we started with some skill refreshers and then proceeded to kite across the gorgeous bay! I struggled a bit in the beginning, but with her expert guidance, I was zipping around in no time! 10/10 would learn with Awa Salu again!

5.00Kim is a fantastic instructor!! I can recommend her to anyone. I had lessons from her myself but my son of 9 years old also taught them. Her instruction is short and clear. What I really like about her is that she always goes in the water. This allows her to immediately see where you still need improvement. In addition, Kim is a fantastic fun girl!!

5.00What a beautiful island !!!!!!!!!, the weather, the beaches and people with lots of sympathy and kindness..... The center is particularly beautiful and when you think it's all cute, you get to the western beaches, it becomes amazing......
Kim stands head and shoulders above it as a teacher!

5.00Really had a top kite lesson from Kim! I could already sail back and forth, but she gave me a lot of little tips that made my transitions (little turns) successful + my first jump (little jump). Have taken classes before, but Kim stands out!!
