Dine at The Mayan, Lina Point’s stunning overwater restaurant inspired by ancient Maya cosmology. Arrive by golf cart across the bridge and ascend dramatic stairs depicting Xibalba, the Maya underworld. Continue rising through the roots of the sacred Ceiba tree to reach the second-floor dining room, built around a magnificent illuminated Ceiba tree hand-crafted from the jungle. Savor signature Maya platters (additional cost) while surrounded by Maya-costumed staff and video wall sharing the story of cacao and Maya history. Dinner service begins at 5:30 PM (additional cost). Price includes the Maya Cacao Ceremony that starts at 7:00 PM (dinner add on). Led by a Maya Shaman, this intimate ceremony opens with a traditional copal blessing, followed by a reflective intention setting where you use the mirror to connect with your inner self and discover your magic. The Shaman then guides the group in setting personal intentions before the cacao is shared. This serene experience runs alongside normal dinner service, complete with live drumming throughout the evening.

1.00Pre recorded show to listen to. Most of the screen addition is AI. An Hour from start to finish. We ordered food as a table at 6:50ish and got one dish at a time for 3 people. By wrap up at 8:05 my friend still had no food. We cancelled the order. Asked to not write a bad review and got a free shot (pre sure it had little to no booze). Asked for coffee for during the show as ticket show complimentary coffee/tea. No coffee available. Guess they were meaning the hot chocolate that you get almost at the end. Feel like it’s a White mans view of the Mayan. Disappointed and will not recommend.

1.00What experience? They lacked entertainment. Dancer barely danced just flapping his wings and kneeling., and couldn’t barely blow the blower. The show was a failure. No interacting with the audience. They played an AI film explaining the history or the Myans(boring). The waiter seemed drunk, could barely remember to get anything I asked for such as having to ask for water, and a straw for my water (which he never did bring it, another waiter brought straw after 20mins of being seated, my drink was forgotten about ( then close to end of show after being reminded he brought it, a table cloth (promised due to birthday) was never brought, AND BY THE TIME THE SHOW WAS OVER , OUR FOOD STILL DID NOT ARRIVE!!! We had to cancel our food because event ended & our taxi was due back , we left there HUNGRY! And so did 3 other couples whose food also did not arrive and they cancelled theirs as well. This experience was slow, boring & a complete waste of time and money! They claimed to had been trying something NEW, and they Apologized for the POOR SERVICE TONIGHT! THIS WAS A WASTE OF THE MONEY WE PAID VIATOR $18 AND A WASTE OF GAS MONEY $40 USD to travel to & from the event. I WOULD LIKE TO REQUEST A REFUND FOR SUCH AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE AND WASTED NIGHT! THANKS IN ADVANCE!

1.00Terrible. There was a drummer and couple of dancers in traditional dress. I didn’t learn anything and the service was very poor. Our drinks came 20 minutes a part and our SALADS never showed up. There was a video that played AI generated images but no personal experience. Very disappointing. Then the host requested that the patrons leave a good review. Not gonna happen.

5.00The team was so nice the performance was educational and fun. The food was perfect well seasoned. Bring your appetite. Make sure to drive your gold cart on the dock. The directions don't complete match so give yourself extra time

4.00I was expecting for a more interactive performance, Instead of videos. The video was difficult to see from our table (table six). The video was faster than the food/drink being delivered. Would have been great to have had the last drink ahead of time so we could all meditate as we returned from the underworld as described in the video. Loved the message of the entire experience. Overall, we did enjoy the performance and the food.

2.00I enjoyed the ambiance, however the experience was very average. I got lost in the storyline, and the food was not the best. The directions to the establishment was very unclear and caused my friends and I to be 10 minutes late, though we were exactly 3 minutes away....the beverages were good, however it did not come with the price of the excursion -- soft beverages should've been included (in my opinion) -- wasnt worth the $75
