5.00John did our 1.5-hr. tour, and it was spectacular! We learned so much about the medieval past of Kilkenny, as well as good tips about it today. First witch in Europe was burned at the stake there! -And this was just one of John's detailed stories--the town's religious leaders, its merchants, society, the living and the dead--he knows it all: not a boring minute! The Museum itself is full of great artifacts. Don't miss this tour! It made an interesting town fascinating and fun.

5.00We had a great tour of the medieval mile museum. It was a great way to learn about the deep history of Kilkenny, which is still being discovered! The museum is beautiful and the artifacts inside are so fascinating. We showed up late to our tour and were still accommodated with kindness and just as much effort as if we were on time!

5.00I went on a guided tour with Joe and two other visitors, and had the most amazing time! I learnt lots about the history of the town, the medieval day to day life, and the individual streets and lanes. Price was extremely reasonable for the information I received! Joe answered all of my little nitpicky questions honestly and admitted what he didn’t know, which made the experience feel earnest and human!

5.00John was so entertaining and informative - we loved his tour! Actually, we did 2 tours with him; the outside Medieval Mile walking tour, AND the indoor museum tour. He is such an engaging and lively guide, full of fascinating information and stories that really bring medieval times alive. I highly recommend doing both tours!

5.00For such a seemingly small museum, we received a wealth of knowledge from our tour guide Lynn. She was a great guide who was passionate about the history of the museum and the town of Kilkenny in general! She also gave us great recommendations for other places to visit while in town.
