  We had so much fun!! The Sound of Music movie and musical are very special to us. Visiting the places where the movie was filmed and the Von Trapps lived was amazing! We will always remember Monsee and the Advent market. St. Michael’s Basilica was one of the most beautiful churches we have ever visited. Kylie and Evo made the experience unforgettable. Thank you!

  Lovely day with beautiful scenery. David and Haki were both excellent. David has so much knowledge about the Sound of Music but also of other history of Austria. He has a great sense of humour and a good singing voice!! My only criticism would be that the Braun restaurant in Mondsee should not be recommended for lunch - it takers too long to get served and fed leaving very little time to see anything else even tho we went there immediately off the bus. Perhaps only recommend it if lunch is the only thing you want to do in Mondsee. The bakery would have suited us better.

  This is the second time we have done this and last time (2018) it was much better. The bus holds 70 and this is too many it overwhelms most of the sites visited. The Australian tour guide was good but last time we had much more of the film shown on the bus to show what we were seeing …. This trip could be brilliant but it is not they are just relying on tourists to pay alot of money for an average trip as most people come once and will go away thinking it’s ok ….too big too expensive

  What an amazing experience!! The ability to see in person what you saw on screen is magical. We pulled up the scenes on our phone that corresponded to where we were. We loved watching the clip and then looking up at the location in person. We really want to commend the tour guide Alenka and our bus driver. They made the experience fun, very engaging and extremely informative with all the background of the movie and local areas. Highly, highly, recommend this tour. The highlight of our trip.

  We absolutely loved the Original Sound of Music Tour in Salzburg. Our guide, Kylie, was fantastic — knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely fun, with great stories and enthusiasm that brought the film and locations to life. Alex, our driver, was excellent and made the journey smooth and enjoyable throughout. The tour was well organised and perfectly paced, with beautiful scenery and iconic stops that were a joy to see in person. A nice bonus was the option to purchase prosecco or beer onboard, which added to the relaxed, celebratory atmosphere. Even for those who aren’t die-hard fans, it’s a wonderful way to see the Salzburg countryside.

  Heidi was an amazing tour guide. Knew all the details of the making of the movie and the real family. Also told a lot about Salzburg. She made the trip and even had my husband singing. Evo was an excellent driver through the narrow streets.

  We had a great time! The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable and shared stories from each of the places we visited. We had terrific photo opportunities and the songs she played while we were driving helped facilitate the mood for the tour. We did an afternoon tour in December which meant that the last couple of hours were in the dark. It didn’t bother us, but I would recommend others to consider the season and sunset time when booking if daylight is important.

  It was really fantastic! Jose was really fun and lively. An absolutely amazing tour guide. I can’t think of anyone who would do it better.
