3.00We were somewhat disappointed with the Panorama Original Sound of Music tour. The visit to the lake was very interesting, and we also really enjoyed the Mirabelle gardens at the end. The guide presented a lot of information about both the making of the movie and the real story of the Von Trapps. The tour did not include a visit to the abbey or the Salzburg festival site. In the four hour tour, one hour was spent in re village of Mondsee, and another hour driving there and back. It just didn’t feel like a very full tour. Beautiful views of the Austrian mountains and countryside, though. The bicycle tour would have suited us better, but we didn’t know about it.

4.00If you are a Sound of Music fan, you need to go. It visits the film locations and the guide has a huge amount of knowledge about the film and some funny stories. Please be aware that if you are not back on the bus when required the bus will leave without you.

4.00The bus is huge so about 50 people on board. It felt a little rushed. Some of the places, are drive by only, or short stop. Guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. A fun 1/2 day & excellent scenery to capture as you drive past.

5.00We had such a fantastic time on our trip. Our guide couldn't have been better, he was so much fun and his knowledge was very extensive and interesting. We loved the whole thing, the singing on the coach. all the venues that we were taken too and also the absolutely stunning scenery during the drive through the lakes. Panorama tours were very helpful too as we changed the time at the last minute and they made it very easy for us to do this.
