The best fresh water fishing in Panama is in the Panama Canal. This half-day tour starts with 6:00 am pick-ups, and a drive to the former U.S Canal Zone town of Gamboa. Fishing takes place in Gatun Lake, the artificial man-made navigation channel elevated 85 feet (26m) above sea level.
We'll cruise next to the transiting ships and go off the side channels best for catching Oscar Bass Snook, Tilapia, Peacock Bass and Tarpon but also to observe wildlife. We’ll fish around Isla Akee, Isla Barbacoa, and Isla San Pablo unique for biodiversity. Our trip includes Water, Snacks, Beverages, Bait and Equipment.
Gatun Lake of the Panama Canal guarantees a KINGFISHER EXPERIENCE you can't miss. Drop-offs are 12:30 pm approx.

5.00I am Fishing all over the world,fishing the Panama Canal was on my bucket list We choose kingfisher adventure and John Acosta as guide,he was really professional showing 15 minutes before the pickup time As soon as we hit water I knew the day will be perfect John came full equipped with very good lunch,coffee/tea,drinks alcool,it was not only a regular fishing day because John is also naturalist and he show us to many thing I can not explain,he also did a lot of extra without charging us, I really highly recommend John and kingfisher adventure Sylvain and Sonia Québec Canada

5.00The fishing excursion was amazing. The tour guide Jon was extremely knowledgable so we not only learned about fishing but the culture and history of Panama. There were plenty of snacks and drinks on board and he was diligent is helping all our fishing needs.

5.00John was a great guide and very insightful on the Panama Canal and it’s great history! He also knew some sweet spots where different fish would be biting and shared some great fishing techniques that helped us catch a lot of fish that day! i’m in the fish aquarium hobby also so it was cool to catch some fish that I actually collect in the hobby! John showed me how to catch a Vieja using plantain as bait! John also had a local family cook us a fish meal after our excursion and they seasoned the fish perfectly! I definitely recommend this tour as it will be some of the most fun u will have on your vacation!

5.00Punctual pick up from the hotel, knowledgeable English speaking guide, loved watching the abundance of wildlife on the canal, and great peacock seabass fishing. Highly recommended.
