During this unique experience we explore the city from a point of view of a plague doctor who worked in the city between the years 1713-1715. What can we learn from the plague and how did it finish? What were the prevention methods and how did a typical day of a plague doctor looked like? We visit hidden gems of the city and know the quiet and dark spots of Prague, besides some gruesome facts we also have fun in this experience during the times of the Black Death.

At our starting point we introduce the plague doctor of Prague Alexander Schamsky and travel back into the year 1715. We introduce the building, also known as the "House of the Golden Well", and the holy saints of the plague St. Sebastian and St. Rochus. We also introduce the different root causes of the plague people believed in. We share a brief overview of what to expect during our tour and explore the hidden gems of Prague during plague
New Town Hall
We introduce the old monastery Klementinum, the new library and the new town hall. We furthermore describe here the different types of the Black Death and how the wealthy and common people in Prague suffered and escaped. Furthermore we go into the details of a life in quarantine.

5.00Marie was enthusiastic, informative and engaging throughout our tour. She was very knowledgeable about the Plague, the history behind the causes and how the population dealt with the problem. Although the subject was about a sad time in history Marie kept the tour intriguing and fun with some props and group questions. This tour was a unique way to see some parts of Prague that might not be include on other tours. I definitely recommend it!

5.00Spectacular tour! David was a wonderful tour guide and we learned so much of the history of Prague's infectious disease infestations. If you get a chance to join this tour, you won't regret it!

5.00A fun and quirky experience! In a crowded meeting point where tours gather, it’s very easy to find. Look for the guy in a plague mask, holding a lantern. Thomas was such a good tour guide, who answered all questions with great knowledge! The fun mini quizzes he did throughout the tour were fun and helped to keep us engaged. He provided a welcoming and insightful atmosphere to the tour, and chatted with all members of our 6 strong group while we walked to our next tour stops. (Sorry about derailing the tour for a second with my love for pigeons!) The tour lasted the specified time, at the end of the tour, Thomas provided directions to help us back to the centre.

5.00We were only two for this tour with Oscar guide but we had a great time. We learned a lot about the Great Black Death and the repercussions on the city of Prague. It was entertaining, interactive and informative.
