Founded in 2012, we are the original Harry Potter tour in Edinburgh. Our guides have the most experience of any tour company in Edinburgh and we are consistently rated most highly by visitors across all platforms.

Greyfriars
We begin our tour in the city's historic Greyfriars Kirkyard where JK Rowling spent a lot of time while writing the books. Here we'll see several names on gravestones that inspired characters in the series including William McGonagall and Thomas Riddell. From here we will also see two potential inspirations for Hogwarts in the form of George Heriot's School and Edinburgh Castle.
An area of the city named after Harry Potter? Surely not! See the place where she wrote much of the first book from here.

5.00This guy is a 11/10. The tour guide called us when we had trouble finding the meet up spot. AND THE PASSION FOR HARRY POTTER WAS OFF THE CHARTS AMAZING. the guy was super passionate. Super knowledgeable. He tracked house points when kids answered questions. Took us thru the graveyard and diagon alley and several other Harry Potter sites. Super kid friendly. Made up a spell to change the crosswalk to ‘green’ which was the twins favorite part. and patiently answered questions. Was worth flying here from the states just for the tour. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Great for muggles, slight fans and true Potter fanatics!

5.00This was such a great walking tour for the family!! It was the perfect mix of quirky and informational. We had big Harry Potter fans and we had passing interest fans and all really enjoyed the tour. Bring a wand! Highly recommend
