Rosslyn Chapel
Rosslyn Chapel is world-famous because of its role in Dan Brown’s mystery novel ‘The Da Vinci Code. The chapel is surrounded by legend, and its building is of great beauty and interest. It was begun by William Sinclair, first Earl of Caithness in 1442.
Abbotsford
Abbotsford is the the home of Georgian Scots novelist and poet Sir Walter Scott. Designed by William Atkinson and Edward Blore in the Scottish baronial style, it and was constructed between 1817 and 1824. We’ll take the tour through the public areas of Abbotsford and learn about Scott’s life here.

5.00Laura provided one of the best tours we've ever had. She is a wonderful, courteous guide who went beyond our expectations. Laura called ahead for site guides at Rosslyn Chapel and Melrose Abbey with both gentlemen greeting us and sharing their historical knowledge. Laura also managed to fit in Abbotsford, the home of Sir Walter Scott, as the final stop. Laura is highly recommended, as she will provide a fantastic experience and has a great sense of humor (which definitely fits me and my family).
So much fun!

5.00Laura was AMAZING! She was full of knowledge of the the history of Scotland and the places we stopped. Lunch was wonderful as well. The van was spacious and comfortable. We would book again!

5.00We had an incredible time this January on a two-day private whisky tour of the Scottish highlands for my husband’s birthday. Our guide Gary was so friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible. Despite the cold, dark weather he went out of his way to give us a personalized experience. We got to visit several distilleries and even a few beautiful coastal towns. We would highly recommend this tour for a special occasion to see Scotland and learn about its history.

5.00We tailored this trip and saw Sir Walter Scott’s home, Abbotsford house as well as Roselyn Chapel and Traquair house. Our guide Sandy couldn’t have been better. He was fun, informative, and made the tour very interesting. He knew a lot of the people working at the various places and so was able to collaborate with them which gave us even more insight into the places and the history of what we were seeing. There was a far more personal touch to this tour than bus tours we’d been on in the UK. Also, the van was comfortable and Sandy was an excellent driver. We’d recommend highly to anyone!

5.00Our Guide was Hazel, she was amazing. We did so much more than expected. With a stop above Melrose. Where were able to see the view of the valley. Then off to Sir Walter Scott’s home. My personal favorite. Great tour. Then off to a pub lunch at Traquair hotel and pub. Excellent. Then off to our next stop where the 21st Lady of the estate still resides. Our final stop was Rosiln Chapel which is another favorite of ours. It never disappoints. I’m glad I found this company. They are professional and knowledgeable. If we could give it 10 stars we would.
Very highly recommended tour company. We would definitely book again with Experienced Tours.

5.00I can't recommend Experienced Tours highly enough. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating and we were able to get off the tourist path to see the beauty of the Scottish Highlands like a local. The company is professional and very responsive - Alexander went out of his way to ensure our family had an excellent time. Would absolutely recommend it to friends and family.
