This is the only scheduled tour which will take you to both the highlights of Northern Skye (including Kilt Rock, the Old Man of Storr and Portree) and the Fairy Pools, in one action-packed day from Inverness! You will also get to experience Eilean Donan Castle and Loch Ness along the way. Our highly experienced driver guides will keep you entertained on the scenic drive through the hills and glens of the Scottish Highlands.

Public transportation options are available nearby
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Walking (approximately 1.5 miles to and from the Fairy Pools) is involved, and some of this is on rough terrain
Seats will be assigned - groups/couples will be seated together
Unfortunately, due to the duration of the tour and time on the coach, this tour is not appropriate for children under the age of six
We would recommend wearing/bringing warm clothes, hiking boots and waterproof jackets

Loch Ness
As we leave Inverness behind, the Highlands’ most famous waters appear: Loch Ness. We’ll hug the shoreline while your guide brings the legend to life—tales of sightings, science, and a sprinkle of mischief—eyes peeled for her!
Eilean Donan Castle
Our first stop is at the iconic Eilean Donan Castle. This castle is instantly recognisable the world-over as it has featured in many films and innumerable Scottish souvenirs! We will stop at our favourite vantage point here to enable you to take some photos and admire the majestic beauty of this iconic sight in its wonderful coastal location. Please note that there will NOT be an opportunity to visit the castle.

5.00Absolutely love it I felt very safe buzzing around Isle of Skye as well as to and from…and the weather was not great! Andrew was very good, clear concise instructions with humour!!! And we all managed to get back to the tour bus on time . A plethora of information and organization which really helped us all have an enjoyable time. Great stop spots - gave a real feel for the Isle of Skye. Lunch was amazing from our planned stop … Ordering ahead of time really mitigated any delays and gave us extra time to bump around the village…great idea! My favourite thing about the trip was how Andrew kept us entertained telling the historical stories about Wallace, Bruce and others who had a hand in the Scotland of today!!! The fairy pools were cool too😉 Thank you WOW - thank you Andrew💝 I highly recommend this tour!

5.00This day tour was excellent. The mini bus was clean and comfortable - the tour itself ran to schedule and had been well planned. Our tour guide - Andrew - was absolutely amazing. One of the nicest people you will ever meet and a wonderful storyteller - which made the travel time fly by. I would highly recommend this tour.

5.00The tour was amazing! You get to see all the sights. Even if it is sometimes just from afar, it's a good way to get a general overview in one day. The tour is 12 hours long and doesn't do any unnecessary stops - there is just no time to e.g. hike closer to the Old Man of Storr. So don't be disappointed by that. Our tour guide Andrew was FANTASTIC! He is so knowledgeable, funny and a great storyteller. I can only recommend the tour and will book with WOW Scotland again.

5.00Andrew is a great storyteller. His interest in history kept us all intrigued. The tour covers all aspects of Skye that you could hope to visit. Andrew organised for his tour group to preorder a tasty lunch, so we didn't waste time queueing up in cafes. A special treat was a stop with the hairy coos. We had the perfect amount of time to visit all the sites.

5.00Murdoch, aka “Mr. Fabulous,” made our tour an absolute blast! His enthusiasm, storytelling, and larger-than-life personality brought every stop to life. He shared so much fascinating history and information, but what really made the experience special was the pizzazz and energy he added along the way. Murdoch has a true gift for entertaining while educating, and he kept everyone engaged from start to finish. We left laughing, learning, and talking about the tour long afterward. Highly recommend touring with Mr. Fabulous if you get the chance!

5.00This tour was absolutely amazing! The bus driver/tour guide Andrew was just wonderful. On top of all the stunning views that you see on the long drive, Andrew was the best story teller and made the drive seem like nothing. He gave very clear but hilarious instructions for the tour participants. They also even had us order lunch in advance at a great bakery so we didn't have to wait in the busy lines. I would highly recommend this tour if planning to visit the Isle of Skye!
Would highly recommend this tour -- especially with Murdoch! :)

5.00We (family of 4 adults) LOVED our tour with Murdoch, aka "Mr. Fabulous"! We luckily enough had great weather on the day, saw a phenomenal set of sights (fairy pools were definitely the best part!!), and laughed at all of Murdoch's stories during the driving portions. One thing we did not realize when we booked this trip was that seats are assigned? We arrived really early (45min early) to make sure we'd be near the front, as someone in our party gets motion sick, but we discovered that we were assigned seats and we were assigned to the back. Luckily no issues but we found that surprising. Both sides of the bus are great, I think I liked sitting on the left side a little more (so the side opposite the driver) but both sides provide great views. We brought our lunches which we ate while exploring Portree -- but when we got on the bus we could have ordered a bagged lunch from a bakery/deli in Portree which is also a great option. These bagged lunches were paid for in advance and picked up, so those who ordered lunch could also eat while exploring Portree. Murdoch was kind, funny, entertaining, made you feel warm/welcome/cared for, and bursting full of knowledge/experience/information/stories. It's been a few days and we're all still quoting him. As far as the stops we made on the bus... you drive by Loch Ness, stop at the Eilean Donan Castle just to take a photo from the road, stop in Portree for an extended time for lunch/exploring (about an hour? there were some fun shops to explore and the coastline was pretty), stop at Kilt rock (get off the bus, take pics) to appreciate the rock formation (and look behind you at the "layers of time" and the memorial to the crofters!), unfortunately weather (fog) hindered our stop at The Old Man of Storr but allegedly it's a photo stop (we pivoted to stopping at a waterfall instead! get out of the bus & take pics), stop at Fairy Pools (that was the big one! highly recommend hiking the 0.9 miles to almost the end -- the actual end itself is quite boring, it's just the end of a dirt path with a small stream -- to see everything. and don't be afraid to dip your face in!), we drove to/from the isle on the Skye bridge, and Urquhart Castle (stop, get off the bus, take pics). We were all early/timely so got a bonus stop as well :) We had a ball and can't recommend this tour enough!
