  Honest feedback. Everyone is very friendly. So it’s hard to write a harsh review. But considering the amount we spent on the tour I think morally people should know what to expect. You will walk in the same 3 streets for 3 hours. A stop every 20 steps or so. Felt like time wasting. The tour- it’s more of a history tour than a food and culture tour. And not the history of food and culture. A lot of history about the architecture and the museums. A few times the guide lingered on visiting different museums and how to buy tickets. ( a simple “this is definitely worth it” would have sufficed) I think the guide ran out of content so we got a step by step of how to buy tickets and even showed us where we would get in line if we decided to by ticket. The only thing I learned about food, was why they ate rabbit and the coffee and how it originated. The food- coffee 2.5 euro Pastry 2 euro Pastry .6 euro sandwich split 4 ways - 2 euro Very Small portion of rabbit dish - not sure but a full portion is average 20 euro Small Me personally I wouldn’t recommend it.

  The tour was excellent. John our guide was really good, he was clear and the information was interesting and covered everything I was hoping for. A really great intro to Malta/Vallettas history and culture. The food was excellent too, there's loads of it, by the time we got to the main course for lunch I was pretty full up, so come hungry!

  John or Ġwanni our guide knows Valletta and Malta like the back of his hand. This was the best introduction to Malta and all it has to offer. John is an ex chef and is passionate about the food of Malta and the history of his beautiful country. The 3.5hr tour packs it all in but not in a rushed way! A pastizzi to start set us up for the tour. We loved hearing how all the cultures have influenced and infused their food throughout the years along with historical back round of difference areas in the city. The reason why some of the doors have gates in front of them and how the country was built and rebuilt. Keep up the great work Gwanni, from the 5 Irish ladies!   Lovely few hours steeped in local history and foods in Valletta. Our guide was excellent, very capable of answering any questions put to her. She made everyone at ease immediately.

  Love food tours for their ability to show you a city & a culture shapedby food/resources. We struck gold with our local guide John. Having previously worked as a chef his knowlddge of the Maltese food/traditions/available resources & how this relationship had been forged by history was second to none. A simply marvelous introduction to the stunning city of Valetta. Take this tour...it will not disappoint 👍

  The Malta food walking tour in Valetta was the highlight of our trip and an experience I can't recommend highly enough. From start to finish it was a perfect blend of incredible food, rich history and local story telling. Our tour guide, John was knowledgeable, warm and genuinely passionate about Maltese cuisine and culture. We truly had a wonderful time. Be prepared to eat plenty of food.
