Miso is Japanese traditional fermented seasoning.
Miso is rich in nutrients and very useful ingredient in the kitchen.
Traditionally, miso is made from whole soybeans but we make it using tofu refuse so you can make it easier and quicker!!
Though soy pulp is healthy food and rich in nutrients , it is disposed of as industrial waste!!
This is an effective use.
Very friendly seasoning both people and environment, soy pulp miso.
Why don't you make it together?

I enjoy making miso together with you. Miso is a traditional Japanese fermented food. Miso is rich in nutrients and is a very convenient ingredient to use in cooking. In the traditional way, miso is made from soybeans. The process involves soaking dried soybeans in water for a day, boiling them until soft, and mashing them. However, we make ours with okara, which is easier and faster. Okara is soybean skin, healthy and rich in nutritional value, but it is treated as industrial waste and discarded. It is also a good use of okara, which is both human- and eco-friendly. How it works on the day of the class Please arrive at the reserved time. 1) We will explain the benefits of miso and how to make it. 2) We will talk about how to improve the intestinal environment. 3) Let's actually make okara miso! Our method of making miso is special. It is very easy and fast to make, and it is also environmentally friendly because it is an effective use of okara. (Miso takes more than 3 months to ferment) (4) Please try miso tasting. (Miso soup, miso paste, okara mochi) 5) You can take home the miso you made. (500g)
main
Miso soup
Miso soup is not only delicious, but it is also good for your gut health.
main
Mochi and miso spread
The rice cake is made with okara instead of mochi rice. The miso spread is similar to peanut butter and can be eaten by those with nut allergies.
You can bring your handmade miso home.(500g) Store it for more than three months during fermentation in room temperature. Miso tasting. : miso soup soy pulp mochi(It's like a rice cake) Children are only tasting. We don't prepare ingredients of miso for them. (Please enjoy making miso with adults. )

Naomi is a passionate health professional and chef who takes the time to explain the process of making miso. This is a hands on experience that requires you to mix your own ingredients under her direction. It is a lot of fun and peaceful! I strongly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to do something unique in Japan, learn more about healthy eating and Japanese cooking, and enjoys being around good energy.

In this experience, we can make miso in the easy method. Usually, making miso takes long time to soak and crush soy beans. But in this experience, we use okara(soybean curd refuse). So we don't need bothering steps. It was super easy. And Naomi told me the valuable tips for health. It was great time!!

I took the miso making class and it was a wonderful experience. The instructor Naomi is very nice and she did an excellent job explaining what to do and it was so much fun and easy! The location was very close to the Kyoto Jr station, it takes only about 8 minutes to walk. The atmosphere of the Samurai house was incredible and we had a great time. I enjoyed having miso in different ways at the end too. Here in the house they also offer other Japanese traditional cultural experience too.....like tea ceremony, sake tasting etc. Highly recommend this class to everybody visiting Kyoto.

I participated in the Okara Miso Making Experience with my children. I didn't expect miso to be made so easily. Naomi she loves Okara and is very beautiful and friendly. I also enjoyed listening to stories about health. Samurai residences are particularly unique among the designs of old Japanese houses. There is a cute frog in the garden pond. It is an exciting experience to go up the hidden stairs like a ninja house. There is also a nice bar counter. You can also experience the tea ceremony here. It is very convenient in 10 minutes on foot from Kyoto Station. Thank you very much.
