• A Spectacular Day in the Mountains

  A truly incredible day! I thought I would have anxiety traversing the mountains but Marjan was skilled and competent driver. You can tell that he loves and respects the land (and has the smoothest fade in the Albanian Alps.) He was very knowledgeable helping our group, and others not in our group, safely navigate some rugged and complicated areas of our hikes to the Blue Eye and Grunas waterfall. The views were breathtaking and so was the hike. I would advise travelers to be physically prepared for the hikes. Admittedly, I wasn’t in the best shape coming off a long winter back home. Having a bad knee, I would have benefitted from a compression brace. I would highly recommend this journey. You will not regret it!

  Marjan was a knowledgeable guide, who took us to fantastic sights such as the coffee viewpoint and Theth village, alongside the hikes. The hikes were well organised with beautiful scenery, and Marjan regularly checked in how we were getting on pace wise. He also was a very safe driver who clearly knew the roads well. Thank you - we would highly recommend this trip with Marjan!

  

  

• Highlight of our Albanian Trip

  This was the best day of our recent trip to Albania. We are a family of 4, with two young adults and it was the highlight of our time. Theth and the Albanian Alps are breathtaking but what made this trip extra special was the knowledge, kindness and expertise of our guides. Marjan was the main guide. This is his business and Claudio was his friend(guide in training) that assisted on the trip. Marjan picked us up close to our hotel, perfectly on time with lots of knowledge about the day ahead. It was a small group with just 2 other people, we were in a comfortable minivan with lots of space and aircon. Marjan started by giving us the plan for the day and then started the 1 hour drive to Bogè,always checking we were comfortable and giving lots of history on Albania along the way. Really taking the time to talk to us all without being too much. At Bogè we had time for pictures before heading to the highest point on the trip with the most stunning view of the Albanian Alps. I have never seen snow like that but the roads were so clear and it was perfect driving conditions for the winding roads of the mountains. Marjans driving skills were second to none and we felt safe and in good hands at all times. He is always on hand with history and to take photos of the family if we wanted them. We had coffee here ( if you want to order but no pressure) with the most stunning view. From here we made our way down to Theth for the hike to the Blue Eye. I have recently damaged the ligaments in both knees so was apprehensive about the hike, I needn't of been, both guided were so conscious of everyone's ability and made sure they assisted those that needed it and added in breaks often. The hike was only around 50 minutes and then you were greeted with the stunning Blue Eye. We had a swim (the cold takes your breath away but again worth it) before hiking back to the restaurant at the bottom. The food and view at the restaurant were some of the best on our trip. We tried chicken,pork and trout and all were fabulous. Again there is no pressure to buy lunch. We had all of the above plus potatoes, fresh salad, bread and soft drinks for 4400ALL which is very good value for money given the quality. After lunch we headed off for our second hike to the waterfall. This is a little more challenging but again Marjan ensures you have enough support and breaks along the way. And the waterfall at the top is totally worth the hike. It was out if this world. We had lots of photo opportunities and have some gorgeous pictures from the day.Marjan took his drone and got lots of the family and the group which he shared with us afterwards and the quality was unreal. You'd be charged a lot for these on other trips. At Theth Church ,our last stop for the day, we were given lots of history and a chance to admire the views . I can't recommend this trip enough for anyone visiting Albania. We were picked up in Shkoder but believe they offer from other places too. Thank you Marjan & Claudio for an amazing day

• Best tour ever!!

  We went on the Theth National Park Day Tour with Marjan and we had the best day! Marjan was so lovely and shared so much local knowledge with us. He was also such a safe driver. We would definitely not recommend trying to do Theth National Park by yourselves - we had a hire car in Shkoder but we are so glad that we booked this tour with Marjan because the roads were super narrow, rocky and windy, and the walking tracks through the National Park were not easy to navigate either! We loved our tour with Marjan so much that we booked the Komani Lake tour through his company for the following day which was also amazing! Thank you Marjan!

  Marjan is a wonderful tour guide. You could tell immediately that his family was from the area and he grew up in the mountains. The passion for these comes out with every moment. I particularly like his attitude to the tour. He is not interested in making money, but much more in sharing places and culture with interested and open people from all over the world. He wants to offer new tours in the future that focus even more on that. Contact him about this, as I am sure you will definitely not regret it! He had organized the tour very cleverly in time, so we got ahead of all the other tourists and could enjoy the place just for us for a while. Along the way, he always made sure we were all fine and spontaneously adapted the tour to our needs. The tour consisted of a small group, me and a couple, which I personally loved. Due to Marjan's niceness, openness and humour, I felt more like I was traveling with a friend who happens to know very well about the places visited. I highly recommend this tour to everyone.   I absolutely loved this tour! We had our plans change last minute and they were very accommodating and this is the best tour I’ve done in the past few months. The hike was beautiful and not to hard at all. The guide also made sure we were safe on the hike and in driving which made the experience even more enjoyable. • Amazing day trip to Theth with Thethi Adventure

  I did the Theth day tour with Thethi Adventure today. Marjan, the guide behind Thethi Adventure, is a local from the mountains of north Albania. You can feel he knows and loves what he is doing. As a local, he brings you to the local spots and give you all the historical information about the different places and facts that happened in the area. The hike was great, tempo adapted to the small group. Good vibes, good hike, and good person. I can only recommend you to join him on a trip.
