With 3100 miles of streams in the Smokies, there are thousands of beautiful stretches of white water. Adventure awaits as you explore the magic of pristine cascades and waterfalls on a little-known trail. We'll warm up on a more popular trail, pausing to enjoy smaller cascades before turning onto a less traveled section of the Park. In the winter, we'll enjoy beautiful glimpses of the surrounding mountains, during the spring we'll pause to enjoy our famous wildflower display, summer brings refreshing swimming holes, and in autumn the beauty of changing leaves. This hike is considered moderately adventurous as we gain elevation, climb over downed trees and get our feet wet. **Please note: The Great Smoky Mountains National Park will require parking tags for any vehicle stopping longer than 15 minutes.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park
On this hike, we'll explore a popular trail, passing several beautiful cascades and views before taking a less traveled trail to view spectacular cascades and falls. We'll learn about this varied forest, enjoy some beautiful old growth trees and in the spring, pause in wonder at the variety of wildflowers. This adventure has some elevation gain before we explore a quieter trail. Be ready to climb over some downed trees and get your feet wet. We had an amazing time exploring the beautiful trails and sampling the delicious flavors of nature's candy! Our tour guide, Chini, was absolutely wonderful - her knowledge and enthusiasm were contagious! If you're planning a trip and looking for a great guide, I highly recommend Chini! Just a heads up, the terrain can be a bit challenging, so make sure you're prepared for some steps and hills. We loved every moment. Enjoy it’s very worth it.

We had a great hike with Andy! He was so knowledgeable about the park, including the history, the plants, the wildlife , and the hiking trails. So glad we did this at the beginning of our visit to the Smoky Mountains.

We had such a a good time on our hike. China is a fantastic guide! She is such an enjoyable person and shared a ton of interesting info. We saw several gorgeous waterfalls and fall colors. Even on a day when the weather was "moody," we couldn't have spent our time better.

The nice things about having a guide is the sharing on knowledge. Our guide did just that. It's nice to just hike, but learning things on the way make it better. The hike was mostly gentle. The rough trail, a dried stream, was tricky. But he stopped many times allowing all to catch up.

Nice hike with informative guide, left 914am ,a bit late, waiting in the parking lot, and then drove ourselves instead of the expected guide operator vehicle to one hiking spot 15 17 minutes away, thus missing the opportunity to enjoy the scenic ride and perhaps further interaction and information from the guide. It may well be better to meet at the hiking trail point, that information could be given the night before the trip, after the cancelation window, and waiting time for the late shows be also restricted. The hike itself was great!
