This is a classic multi-day tour that provides the opportunity to visit from Lhasa to Everest Base camp. The tour will get you acquainted by covering all main tourist sites like Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkor street, Drepung and Sera monastery with Gyantse Kumbum and Tashi Lhunpho monastery. Tourists can also see natural scenery like the beautiful, sacred lake of Yamdrok Tso, and Karo glacier, and beautiful views of Mt. Everest, the highest mountain in the world, from Everest Base Camp.

Book at least 10 working days in advance so tour operator may attain your Tibet Permit. Tibet Permit will be delivered to customers' delivery address / hotel address in one city of China. Please note your tour operator will contact you after the booking is confirmed.
Travelers are required to provide photocopy of passports and China L visas at least 20 days prior to travel date.
Please Note: Customers' airport pick-up and drop-off in Lhasa needs to be arranged by the tour supplier. If customers fly to Lhasa from Kathmandu, please do not apply for China L Visa in advance. Customers need to apply for their Tibet Group Visa from China Embassy in Kathmandu via travel agency. Before that, they need to ask for an invitation letter from the tour supplier. If customers fly or take a train to Lhasa from one city of China, they need to apply for their China L Visa from the China Embassy in their country.

Lhasa
Upon arrival, our Tibetan guide will greet you at the airport or train station. You'll then be transferred to your hotel in downtown Lhasa. Along the way, you can enjoy the spectacular scenery of Yarlung Tsangpo River, Lhasa River, and the typical Tibetan villages. After arriving at the hotel, take some time to rest and acclimate to the high altitude. It's helpful to take it easy for the first few days and remember to stay hydrated by drinking water. Please note that there will be no sightseeing scheduled for today.
Lhasa Tour - Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street

Potala Palace
Today's tour will first bring you to the Potala Palace which is the winter palace of the Dalai lama. It was put to use since the 7th Century by the 33rd great king of Tibet. The most valuable collections of Potala Palace are the gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas and meditation Cave of the 33rd great king of Tibet.
Jokhang Temple
Then after lunch, tourists head to Jokhang temple which was founded by the 33rd great king of Tibet in the 7th century. Inside you can see the statue of Buddha Sakyamuni at the age of twelve. Outside, you can see pilgrims making prostrating in front of Jokhang Temple.
Barkhor Street
Around the temple is Barkhor street, where you can do kora (a religious circle of a building or mountain) with pilgrims and locals, and explore the old market. Besides, We can taste Tibetan tea with locals in tea house; The welcome dinner will also be arranged accordingly.
Lhasa Day Tour: Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery

Drepung Monastery (Zhebang Si)
In the morning, you are going to visit Dadong Village, the most beautiful village in Lhasa. Located 25 kilometers southwest of Lhasa downtown, Dadong Village is a well-protected ancient Tibetan village that surrounded by valleys. After arriving, you will visit the Nyimatang Monastery (built in the 11th century), take a light walk in the village, and see what rural life in Lhasa is like. You will also visit a local Tibetan family and enjoy the lunch offered by the family. Notice: we will go to Dadong village instead of Drepung Monastery.
Sera Monastery
In the Afternoon, Tourists will visit Sera Monastery which is another one of the “great three” Gelug monasteries of Tibet. The hot attraction is the Monks debate at around 3 - 5 in the afternoon. In addition, you can tour the Tibetan religious scripture printing house; inside the monastery, you can see three sand Mandalas and colorful Rock Painting of Buddha.
Lhasa (3650m) to Shigatse(3900m) via Gyantse

Yamdrok Yumtso Lake
In the morning, drive from Lhasa to Shigatse .On the way, drive over the Gampala pass (4790 m), and you will have a glimpse of Yamdrok-tso (4400m) .The Lake is surrounded by many snow-capped mountains and in the distance you can have spectacular views of Holy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar, (7191m) the highest mountain near Lhasa .
Karo La Glacier
Later, we will pass and enjoy the Karola Glacier on the roadside; At Manak Dam Lake, you can hang pray flag at Simila Mountain Pass; Then, we will arrive in Gyantse, historically Tibet's third largest city (after Lhasa and Shigatse).
In Gyantse, we will visit the famous Pelkor Monastery and Gyantse Kumbum and enjoy the Far view of Gyangtse Fortress. After one and a half driving, we arrive in Shigatse, which is the second largest city in Tibet. In Shigatse, we may visit traditional Barley Mill and view the landscape of Barley Field (in summer).
Shigatse(3900m) to EBC (5200m) via Tingri

Mount Everest Base Camp
After getting your Alien’s travel permit, and then drive to Lhatse, it is a small town where you can have lunch. After that, we will pass Tsola Pass(4600M), and Gyatsola Pass(5248M). Shortly after we enter Mt. Everest National Nature Reserve, tourists can enjoy the panorama of Himalaya at Gawula Pass(5198m).Then we drive along the New zigzag road to Everest Base Camp(5200m). You can get closer to gazt at the Mt. Everest peak. The sunset of golden Everest peak if time and weather permits at the lodging area.
EBC return to Shigatse

Rongbuk Monastery
In the morning, you can see the sunrise appear on the top of Mt Everest, and have a full view of the magnificent Mount which stands like a snow-capped pyramid in front of you at Rongpuk, the vantage point for watching Mt. Everest. Then drive back to Shigatse.

Tashilunpo Monastery
You will start your day by heading to the Tashilunpo Monastery, which is the seat of Tibet's second highest incarnation, the Panchen Lama. Afterwards, you will be driven 175 miles (280km) back to Lhasa by following Yalong Valley through Friendship Highway. It takes about 6 hours.

5.00Very good tour company. I’m a foreigner (from Chile) and I booked from my home country. The payment methods were reliable and they responded quickly to any questions. The tour is fantastic. The places we visited were excellent. Lobsgang, our tour guide, was very attentive and enthusiastic. He is a local guide, which gives a lot of confidence. He teaches a lot about his culture and knows the places extremely well. I 100% recommend the experience. The only thing I would change is that I booked during Chinese New Year, and some monasteries or activities were not available because they were closed. However, I don’t think that changed the overall experience.

The best part of the tour was Lobsang, our guide. Not only was he an effortless fount of information, he was a truly pleasant person with an easy friendliness. I can’t recommend this tour enough.

5.00We booked an 8-day Everest Base Camp tour with Tibet Vista and overall had a very good experience. Our guide Lobsang was incredibly caring and attentive throughout the entire trip. He was knowledgeable, explained a lot about Tibetan culture, and always checked how we were feeling, especially regarding altitude. He even prepared tea and cookies for us to take on the road, which was a very thoughtful gesture. Our driver Damdul was also wonderful — professional, careful, and very friendly. Together, they created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere during the journey. The bus was clean, comfortable, and perfect for long-distance travel. We traveled during Chinese New Year, and we feel the organization could have been better prepared for the holiday period. As an experienced company, it would be helpful to anticipate possible closures in advance. Some planned activities, such as the monks’ debates and a tea house visit, were not available. Clearer communication or alternative arrangements would have improved the experience. Overall, it was a memorable trip, and we truly appreciate the kindness and care of our guide and driver.

5.00Our experience with Guide Lobsang and Driver Damdul was absolutely wonderful. Guide Lobsang was amazing — very knowledgeable, professional, and kind. He explained everything clearly and shared interesting stories about the local culture and history. He was always patient, helpful, and made sure we were comfortable and happy throughout the trip. His friendly attitude made the journey even more enjoyable. Driver Damdul was excellent as well. He drove very safely and carefully at all times, which made us feel relaxed and secure. He was punctual, polite, and always ready to help with a smile. What truly impressed us was their extra effort to make sure we had the best possible experience at Everest Base Camp. When the mountain was obscured during our original visit, they arranged an additional early morning trip so we would have another chance to see it clearly. They even extended the trip by an extra hour, patiently waiting for the mist to clear so we could enjoy a perfect and unforgettable view. That level of care and dedication meant so much to us. Together, they went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. We truly appreciate their hard work and highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you both for such a fantastic experience!

5.00My wife and I loved the 8 day tour from Lhasa to Everest Basecamp. Our guide Tseyang was very knowledgeable about Tibetan culture, Tibetan history and Tibetan Buddhism which made our tour culturally enriching. She is very humorous and kind providing us with tea and biscuits in the cold winter to keep us warm. The tour itself was a memorable one with visits to all of the key palaces, temples, monasteries where we learned lots about Tibetan traditions. My personal highlight was the seeing the majestic Mount Everest from afar and up close and personal at Everest Basecamp. I would highly recommend a tour led by Tseyang and organised by Tibet Vista.
