  We were very happy with our 8 day guided trip in Tibet. Lhasa was very interesting to see, and we really enjoyed our trip to Mount Everest basecamp. Our guide, Saturday Pem, was very kind, caring and knowledgeable about Tibetian history and culture. We highly recommend him.

The journey offers the rare opportunity to explore some of the world’s most awe-inspiring landscapes while immersing yourself in Tibet’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage. The warmth and hospitality of the Tibetan people, combined with modern comforts and safety, made the entire trip deeply memorable. Logistics and Planning As a solo female traveller booking directly with a tour operator for the first time, my main concerns were legitimacy and safety. These worries were quickly put to rest thanks to the outstanding support from my assigned Tibet Vista travel consultant (Zoe). She was incredibly responsive, patient, and thorough in addressing all my questions - from Tibet travel permits and oxygen supply options at hotels to practical tips like how to interact with local stray animals. Tibet Vista’s secure payment options, including BPAY, bank transfer, and credit card, gave me added reassurance and confidence in proceeding with the booking. Itinerary and Activities The itinerary was thoughtfully designed to balance sightseeing, cultural experiences, and the physical abilities of all participants. Beyond visiting Tibet’s iconic religious and scenic landmarks, the tour offered meaningful hands-on cultural activities such as printing prayer flags, learning Tibetan calligraphy, making incense, and dressing in traditional attire for photos. These unexpected experiences were delightful additions that made the journey even richer and more engaging. Tour Guide and Drivers Our dedicated tour guide (Kunchok) and driver accompanied us throughout the trip, except for the airport and train station transfers, which were handled seamlessly by local staff. The tour guide was exceptionally professional, knowledgeable, and patient, providing deep insights into Tibet’s religious and cultural traditions. Our driver was punctual - often arriving early - and demonstrated an impressive command of Tibet’s challenging terrain, ensuring we always traveled safely and comfortably. The smooth coordination and warm welcomes during both pickup and drop-off further enhanced the overall experience. Accommodation Tibet Vista’s standard package includes comfortable three-star lodging, with the option to upgrade to four- or five-star accommodations at a modest additional cost (roughly USD 200 in total). I chose to upgrade and particularly want to highlight my stay at The St. Regis Lhasa, which exceeded all expectations. The hotel beautifully integrates Tibetan design elements, offers exquisite boutique shops, and provides top notch service and comfort. The tranquil environment and exceptional amenities also greatly helped with acclimatisation. Final Thoughts Tibet Vista exceeded every expectation I had - from the meticulous planning and cultural depth to the professionalism of the staff and overall sense of safety and care. As an animal lover, it was also heart warming to see that local animals (both farm animals and strays) were generally well cared for, reflecting the deeply rooted Buddhist beliefs of the Tibetan people. If you’re considering a journey to Tibet, I wholeheartedly recommend traveling with Tibet Vista. It’s more than just a tour; it’s a transformative experience that stays with you long after you’ve returned home.

  Kunchok is extremely knowledgeable about Tibetan history, culture, and Buddhism, and he explained everything clearly and patiently. Kunchok was always professional, kind, and attentive, making sure our trip was smooth and enjoyable. He handled all arrangements efficiently and was very flexible with our needs.   I highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to experience Tibet ☺️☺️☺️ Our tour led by guide Kunchok, and he organized our tour well and smoothly throughout the journey! Kunchok was very knowledgeable and explained the sites clearly, which made the experience even more meaningful 👍👍👍 As a solo traveler visiting a high-altitude region for the first time, I was a bit concerned, but the program was very manageable. The amount of trekking was limited, which made it comfortable 🫧🫧🫧 The tour covers major monasteries and natural sites, and one of the highlights was being able to enjoy a beautiful sunset over mt Everest. The entire trip was conducted in a comfortable and spacious bus, which made long drives much more relaxing 🫶🫶🫶 Overall, it was a thoughtfully planned trip that allowed me to appreciate both the natural beauty and cultural depth of Tibet without feeling overwhelmed ✅️✅️✅️

  I had the most amazing experience ever. Tibet is a really special place. Very spiritual and with stunning landscapes. We were lucky enough to have Sonam Tenphel as our tour guide. He is extremely kind, generous and very knowledgeable. Always very concerned with our wellbeing and comfort . He explained Tibet to us with such love and respect that was mesmerising. Reaching the Mount Everest elevation survey monument and witnessing the sun set behind the world’s highest peak was a moment of quiet awe and unforgettable scale.   We took the 8 days Lhasa - Everest Base Camp - Lhasa trip. We missed the plane and had to make alternative arrangements, and informed the tour agency accordingly and they were very accommodating. We had our driver waiting for us when we arrived and we were sent to the hotel. The driver was very kind and gave us tips on high altitude. Our guide for the trip, Tseyang was very informative, kind and always ready to assist whenever we needed anything. I was sick and had to miss the Day 2 of the itinerary and she provided information on how to get to the pharmacy and kept checking on how am I doing. It was a wonderful trip and I will definitely recommend our guide and also Tibet Vista for a very well and meticulously planned travel, definitely the best there is.
