I lived the magic of the park between forests, sea and mountain, with scenic walks immersed in nature and relive history on the Prisoners Train.
We depart from Ushuaia on National Route N°3, which will accompany us along the route. Our first stop will be the End of the World Station, where you will take the old Prisoners Train, an hour-long tourist train that relives part of the history of Ushuaia.
Then, we will visit Ensenada Bay, a place where mountains, forest and sea are combined in a single postcard. There is also the famous End of the World Mail, which is occasionally open to send a postcard from the end of the world.
We continue to Lake Acigami surrounded by forests and mountains. We will walk along its coast and see the boundary between Argentina and Chile.
The last stop is Lapataia Bay, the end of National Route N°3 and also of the emblematic Pan American Route that links Alaska with South America.

Bahia Lapataia
It is a charming bay of the Beagle Channel, combining forest, mountain and sea. Lapataia Bay is the last kilometer of the Pan American route (and Route N°3) that runs from Alaska to the southern tip of this national park representing the arrival at the End of the World.
Lago Roca
Also known as Acigami Glacier Lake (Roca), one of the most unforgettable postcards in Tierra del Fuego. We will walk its coast and here you can directly see the political division of the island, as it crosses the meridian that separates us from the neighboring country Chile.

5.00Very nice ride with the train. Is it a turist trap? yes, but it's a really nice one :D the route is quite interesting and pretty (waterfall, tree cementary). In case it matters to you: the train still runs on steam, but with more modern environmetally-consious solutions. Our guide (Franco) was very nice, he explained several things (both in english and spanish) in all the stops of the national park. We could see caranchos, chamingos, and my wife promises she could see a jumping dolphin (I missed it :( ).

5.00We really enjoyed this small group trip. Yes it was a touristy experience but thanks to our guide Luciano it was really interesting and informative too.

3.00It was a very boring tour. Honestly, there is nothing to see in this park—just a lake and some forest. It took forty minutes to gather everyone onto the bus and another forty minutes to drop people off afterward. The tour feels completely made up, since there isn’t much to see around Ushuaia. If you’re 5 years old or 105, then you might enjoy the little train.

5.00For someone that needs a quick introduction to what the mountains and lakes around Ushuaia could offer this is a relaxed introduction to what trekking opportunities can be taken seriously. On top of it a history lesson on the influence of the prison system, whilst you enjoy a not too serious train ride.
Well paced enjoyable tour.

5.00This was a great day out. The arrangement of the pickup was well coordinated. Our tour guide was very good and explained history and information very well. The train trip was very enjoyable and informative. Yes the train travels slowly but it’s very old and the trip very scenic. There were some impromptu stops along the way for some of the unique bird sightings, etc. these were very much appreciated. The tour was not rushed and at a very enjoyable pace. Getting to the end/beginning of the Pan American highway was a highlight too. Next was a beaver dam; now that was interesting for us too.

5.00We really enjoyed this tour! Our guide and driver were both wonderful. Our guide spoke perfect English and was very personable. We were picked up right in time at our hotel and after picking up another guest, we headed out to the national park. On the way there, our tour guide spoke about the region and gave us some history. Once there, we got our tickets for the train. Our guide stayed with us until the train departed. It was a cute train with beautiful views. With the audio available in different languages, we were able to listen in English. Our tour picked us up at the end of the train, exactly where they said they would be. From there, we enjoyed several other stops at view points throughout the park. As the weather was so nice, we also did a short hike. All through the tour, our guide gave us the history of the area and noted interesting things about the park. Would highly recommend!
