Tikal National Park
Visit one of the largest and most important Mayan places in Central America. Your Tour Guide will pick you up at your hotel and in about an hour trip, we'll arrive at the Tikal National Park. Once we are in the Park, let your imagination fly, we'll enter in a mysterious world, where there are more than 3000 structures and only 30% of them are discovered. We'll tell you how the Mayans lived in the Palaces of the Mayan Aristocracy, we'll teach you what their values were, their structure, their religion. We'll arrive at the Central Park where you'll get to know the spectacular Pyramid symbol of Guatemala: The Great Jaguar and you'll be able to go up to the Temple of the Masks: The Temple 2. Then we'll continue our journey in El Mundo Perdido to understand where the City started and the calculation accuracy of the ancient civilization. But it doesn't finish here!!! We'll finish the tour going up one of the highest pyramids in the world: The Temple IV, with a height of 64 meters, which has been used as a scenario for several films, one of them, the first Star Wars movie of 1977, as well as the eleventh James Bond movie of 1979.

5.00Amazing mayan ruins, a Guatemalan treasure, you are able to climb some temples and enjoy magnificent views. See the the beautiful Jaguar temple, do not miss the stone mask. Takes about 1 hour by van to get there from Isla de Flores.

Our tour guide not only explained the timeline of the Mayan buildings and suggested the best routes to explore each site, but also answered our questions knowledgeably and professionally (even though he occasionally mixed in some Spanish vocabulary). One thing I especially want to praise is TikalGo’s excellent service. Since we visited Flores without staying at a hotel and our return flight was around 8 p.m., TikalGo kindly accommodated us at their office, where we could relax and enjoy coffee and tea. Initially, they offered an airport shuttle at 6 p.m., but we wanted a bit more time to explore the city, so we asked if it could be postponed to 7 p.m. Even though that time was their busiest, the staff did their best to rearrange the schedule for us. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and a very positive impression of TikalGo.

5.00Great trip but did feel the guide depended on me to translate for my husband who was the only person who had no Spanish. Luckily the guide had good clear speech and I was able to pick up most of what he said.

5.00Tikal was fantastic and such a worthwhile trip. We were able to fly into Flores in the morning, then Lets Go Tikal picked us up at the airport, then after the tour around 3 pm we were dropped off on the Flores island and we spent a few more hours there before flying back to Guatemala City. The tour crew was very well organized with clear communication, and our guide Nate was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Tikal and the Mayan culture. I would 100% recommend them!

4.00I loved my experience with a few comments. The driver was great. our guide was new but did everything he could to make our experience great. It seemed he was a quick replacement because of some delays at the airport and did not speak English. So we had to insist a bit to get an English speaking guide. I think our Spanish guide did what he could to solve the problem. I hope he got paid extra for being put in a very difficult situation. Also, the meetup location they texted me was wrong so I had to get a waiter to call for me to figure out where I was supposed to be. Loved the drive, the other travelers were great. The tour was really great once we got an English guide and I learned so much. Bring water and bug spray and a granola bar or two. I think I saved a bit by purchasing my own ticket on line, but they will arrange your ticket and your lunch if you want them to. We walked all over the park and climbed so many steps. Tiring but very doable. Looks ved the experience in the end. I wish they had given better details and been more clear to begin with.

1.00Viator sold me a product that the operator tikalgo wasn’t offering anymore and I end up losing all my money because they both play the blame game and niether of them took responsibility. It was a very bad and frustrating experience.
Choose a different operator.

1.00They never picked me up at the prescribed time and place, no attempt at communications before nor after…. No response through the Viator chat function with the operator even now over 24 hours later.
