Tikal, an ancient Mayan city, is now a national park declared Natural and Cultural Humanity Heritage by UNESCO since 1979. Located in the department of Petén, up north of Guatemala, is the largest prehispanic settlement in the country. The population could have reached the extraordinary amount of 100,000 people during its heyday. With its many temples, pyramids, ball-courts, and palaces, this charming place helps us understand how this city could have been in the old days. The very thought of knowing how this imponent civilization raised from the ground until becoming one of the world's most influential cultures is mindblowing. Spanish explorers found it completely abandoned, but our tour can take you back in time to walk the same paths and see the same forests this large civilization walked thousands of years ago. So don't think twice, and get ready to have the experience of a lifetime! Get prepared to lose yourself in amazement over paradisiacal landscapes!

The guide was knowable, pick up and drop off to and from hotel to airport and to Tikal was flawless . The guide we were with included both Spanish and English speaking equally. He allowed time for those of us interested in climbing and investigating the complex to enjoy. The lunch was delicious! The driver accommodated additional time to see Flores to pass wait time for flights back to Guatemala City. Would highly recommend this trip!

I actually booked a custom tour with Guat2do for six people for three days. We began with a four hour walking tour in Antigua and then moved on with a flight to Flores. The entire experience of working with Carlos at Guat2do was one where close attention was paid to every detail in organizing the trip prior to us leaving home. Carlos checked in with us two or three times every day to make sure our group was enjoying ourselves and happy with the arrangements. We had several drivers on the journey who were friendly, courteous and able to handle every situation from traffic jams to challenging roads. Obdulio was our guide for two days and was a joy to spend time with. He had expert knowledge of the Mayan culture and went out of his way to make sure every question was answered, and every need was met. I would highly recommend Guat2do, if you are planning to travel to Guatemala. They are a five star business and truly want to make your time in their beautiful country as enjoyable as possible. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Because I booked this last minute, communication for pick up time and ticket was a little frenzied, but all worked out perfectly in the end. Staff were excellent and polite and our guide for the day Cesar was really excellent! Cesar was very knowledgeable about the area, the history and the wildlife. He took time to let us explore and did a good job of keeping up with the different walking pace capabilities of everyone in our group. The day was extremely well organized and we saw a lot. As a surprising bonus, we were taken to the town of Flores to look around a bit before catching our flight back, since it wasn’t scheduled to leave until late at night. Although we did not receive any water as advertised in the included package (there were lots of places to buy water and drinks throughout the park), we did receive the included lunch and it was really good. I had the fish and it is was absolutely delicious! All in all better than even expected and so glad I went! Highly recommend.
