Divr Labs Prague
Enter one of the biggest virtual reality experiences in Europe and travel back in time to Prague under the reign of Emperor Rudolf II, the last Habsburg who had his main residence in the Czech capital. Back then, Prague was an important centre of European politics, culture, and science. This amazing period of its history is surrounded by many legends, including the stories about the Prague rabbi Judah Loew ben Bezalel (also known as The Maharal) who created a humanlike being from clay (called Golem) to protect the Jewish people living in the city. During the virtual reality experience, you can soak up the mysterious atmosphere of Rudolf’s Prague. The experience lasts approximately 20–25 minutes. You can enter it in a group of 1 to 4 people at regular five-minutes intervals. Before entering the virtual reality itself, you can spend 10 minutes playing VR arcade games.

This is a short experience, you will move around during the time and feel like you are in the story. Very enjoyable!

The Experience was a cool and fun way to get a look into prague medieval history, unfortunately the Golem story could have more interactive stuff and the time was to short for the price Kinda once in a lifetime

My son is a big fan of the Golem stories, and of technology, so this was a must do for us. We booked in advance, and when we turned up, it was a simple process of registering and then heading in for our slot. We had a good briefing with how the VR works explained - in English - and then we headed in to the world of 16th century Prague. It was the most immersive VR experience I've had, fantastic to feel like you were actually in another world, where you could even reach out and touch things. We could seach each other in our "time traveller" suits, in the VR world, and could talk to each other. The time flew by. The staff there were really helpful and friendly, and when we were back in the shop later in the day, they recognised us and said hello. My son has already asked to go back!

Very impressive. The VR was not at all disorienting, which I feared would happen with glasses, and the feeling was pretty real. You do actually walk around and feel things.

Very cool virtual reality experience. You have to solve small tasks in each room to get to the next room. The entrance is in the basement in a toy store. Time travel isn't really creepy (perfect for teenagers, I'd be careful with small children)

The golem VR experience at Hamleys in Prague is the best tech "demo" I have ever experienced in my life. If you are into new technologies and VR, it is a must-do! Basically, it is an exit game in VR, but with very advanced technologies. You get a backpack that contains the PC and a VR set. That's it. The VR set automatically tracks your body, including every single finger! No extra equipment required. It is very impressive that every movement of my fingers is translated to the game although I didn't have any hardware on my hands. It's working all with visual and artificial intelligence. My googles tracked all my fingers accurately. On top of that the environment you could freely move in was adjusted to the VR world (or the other way around). This means, if there was a (virtual) fence, you could touch it because it was there in VR and in reality. One specific example: in VR it was a wooden fence for a chicken cage. In reality it was a metal fence. Even though the materials differed, you can touch virtual things! The metal felt like wood if you can see the image with the VR headset. This is a major step toward virtual worlds! It looked weird since the graphics are outdated, but it felt so real since all objects were there. A perfect combination of reality and virtual worlds! It is a must-do, even for non-tech fans. It was the best experience in Prague. Well worth it's the price!
