SINCE 2017, this 2.5 hour shared group tour is the best introduction to this mysterious Nordic city of Helsinki. We will take you on a tour of the best places here, and show you a few out of the way places too - places that only locals know.
Along the way, we will tell you about our History, modern Helsinki and how our society functions - and our Architecture, Design and culture.
We will also give insider tips on where to visit after the tour, including the best places to eat, drink and visit - so that you can best optimize your stay.

Senate Square
The statue of Tsar Alexander the 2nd in the center of the Senate Square, marks the start point of the tour. This is the most historical part of Helsinki, and some say the most beautiful - with it's Russian Neoclassic architecture. Here we can see the Helsinki Cathedral, the University of Helsinki, and a great viewpoint of the Senate Square for photos.
Helsinki Cathedral
Following our visit to the Senate Square, our next stop is the White Helsinki Cathedral. Perhaps one of the most impressive buildings in Helsinki, it is also the most visited building. We will allow a little time to visit inside (providing there are no services or weddings), and we will allow time to take photos of this building so you have a souvenir to take home.

5.00I did this tour twice! Marius and Anastasia were so great! Loved their individual styles of sharing Finland’s history and architecture with us. They were so knowledgeable and didn’t mind anyone asking questions out of curiosity. Anastasia’s attentive and interactive style was lovely while Marius’s sense of humour was refreshing and entertaining. Loved going back twice with two different guides for two different takes!

4.00Valeria was very friendly and knowledgeable and showed us the main areas & buildings of interest with added information and history. It gives you an idea of places you might like to visit properly such as inside the cathedrals or library. It was a very large group but for a tip-based tour it gave us a flavour of the city.

5.00Valeria was very knowledgable about Finnish history and the Helsinki area. Would of enjoyed the tour more if there was a little leas rain but that is something you cannot control. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

5.00Excellent tour with our guide Eera. We were informed of the history of Helsinki and Finland and shown around some amazing cathedrals and older buildings ending with the new. Very informative good places to eat and drink. Would highly recommend this tour.

5.00I am glad we did this. We learned so much from Anastasia. This was the first organised walk tour we did after many travels. I normally walk around cities for hours, but I thought this would be an interesting thing to do to have somebody talk you through it. I will do it in the future based on this great experience.
