- Arrive 15 minutes prior to start time
- Due to the seating arrangements and limited space on the Yakatabune boat, shared tables may be required, and in accordance with Japanese cultural practices, you will need to remove your shoes to participate in this trip.
- Boarding on SINA boats 1 OR 2 will be random based on the day's traffic
- Leave a note 3 days earlier if need beef change to pork or non-strict vegetarian (remove meat, leave vegetables with sweet soy sauce soup)
- The traditional Japanese performances onboard are not in a fixed format, and different professionals may perform on a daily basis. The main image is just one of the performances
- Please provide the names of all travellers. Failure to do so will be considered a voluntary forfeiture of insurance, and we will not assume any liability in case of any emergency

5.00We had an amazing time on the cruise, our host Sheila was very informative and funny. The food was outstanding. The shamisen player was fabulous as well. We would recommend this to anyone wanting to see Tokyo from a different perspective.

1.00Got stuck in traffic tried to call vendor no answer ,vessel left with out us .very disappointed. We understand we were delayed but there was no way to contact .the phone number posted voice mail .extremly poor signage when we arrived ( non ) would be helpfull to comunicate with operator and mayby we could of arranged an alternative booking .I understand we were late (,traffic was insane )and they cant wait .having no way to communicate was extremly frustrating .so other than the money ,this was a very high anxiaty situation .would not recomend. AL bradley .

5.00This was an unforgettable experience. Sheila, our host, was knowledgeable, polite, warm, and engaging. The traditional shamisen playing was a unique cultural experience and it complimented the cruise well. The sukiyaki was delicious and we appreciated the catering for the vegetarian in our group. Instructions to meet were clear and the boat itself was smooth sailing.

5.00This Tokyo Bay Yakatabune dinner cruise was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. From the moment we stepped aboard, it felt less like a tour and more like being welcomed into someone’s home — exactly in the spirit of the traditional houseboat experience they describe. Our hostess, Karen, was absolutely wonderful. She was attentive, gracious, and warm in a way that made every guest feel genuinely cared for. Nothing felt rushed or transactional; instead, the hospitality was personal and thoughtful, as if we were guests of the family rather than customers. The entertainment by Midori was another standout. She was fun, engaging, and brought so much energy to the room. Her interaction with guests made the experience lively and joyful, and you could feel the room come together as everyone laughed and applauded. It felt intimate, authentic, and celebratory. The sukiyaki meal was comforting and delicious, perfectly suited to the cozy atmosphere of the boat, and stepping out onto the open deck to see the Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Tower was magical — especially at night. What really sets this experience apart is the heart behind it. Their stated goal of treating guests like family isn’t just marketing language — it’s clearly something they live by. We left feeling relaxed, happy, and genuinely grateful to have shared an evening with such kind people. 5.00The most wonderful experience. Friendly amd warm in their greeting. Karen was absolutely fantastic in her hospitality and Midori was entertaining and added a vibrant cultural atmosphere. Food was amazing.
