Arakurayama Sengen Park, where you’ll climb to a vantage point with breathtaking views of the iconic five-tiered pagoda against the backdrop of Mt. Fuji. The tour schedule may change without prior notice due to weather, road traffic conditions, and other unforeseen reasons. (There might be delays in returning to the designated location.) The duration of transfers are approximate, the exact duration will depend on the time of day and traffic conditions.
Infants under 3 years old are free of charge without seat. If a seat is required, please book under the child's price.
Regarding luggage, we allow one piece of luggage per person during the excursion. Please also ensure that the luggage is manageable and fits comfortably within our vehicle. (The maximum size for luggage stored in the trunk should not exceed a total of 155cm- combined height, width, and depth.) Please also be aware that any items stored in the trunk will not be accessible in between stops on the tour, so keep all valuables with you.
Note: Visibility of Mt. Fuji cannot be guaranteed, as it is dependent on weather conditions which are beyond our control. Please also be aware that reaching the viewing platform next to Chureito Pagoda requires some climbing of stairs.
This tour will depart regardless of weather or traffic conditions, unless you are notified otherwise by the local operator. Trip Advisor / Viator and your local tour operator will not be responsible for itinerary changes due to unforeseen circumstances.
In November, the tour itinerary will slightly change to make sure you have the best experience of Japanese autumn in the Mt. Fuji area! After visiting Lake Kawaguchi Craft Park, we will move on to one of the lake’s best spots for foliage, a colorful corridor of more than 400 maple trees creating a unique fall atmosphere!
Please refrain from booking any time-sensitive activities such as restaurant reservations, cruise ship departures, or other scheduled commitments immediately following your tour.
Depending on the number of participants, English and Chinese commentary might be given on the same bus.
Our guide will be holding the flag shown in the picture at the meeting location.
Please arrive 10 minutes before departure at your selected meeting point, as your assigned bus & guide will be based on that specific location. The guide has a list of participants for each bus & may not be able to accommodate guests who arrive at a different meeting point. Late arrival or arrival at the wrong location will result in missing the tour, & refunds won't be issued. If you'd like to change your meeting point or are unsure about the meeting point, please notify us at least 2 days before departure for assistance.
The bus will be departing on time (no exceptions).
Please adhere to the scheduled time. We are unable to accommodate delays or wait for any reason. The tour will depart promptly as scheduled to respect all customers' time.
In case of late arrival or arrival at wrong location, regardless of contact prior to the departure time, refunds will not be granted.
Please check the photo in the product page & scan the correct QR code of your chosen meeting point.
Upon arrival, please confirm your name with the guide or staff on the participant list.
The only drop-off location available is Shinjuku (Shinjuku Station West Exit)

Kobe beef is served Shabu-shabu style (thinly sliced and lightly boiled in a pot), while Koshu Wine Beef is served as a steak. Please choose your favorite.

Arakurayama Sengen Park
Arakurayama Sengen Park is a park in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, famous for the iconic Chureito Pagoda, which offers panoramic views of Mount Fuji, the pagoda, and cherry blossoms in spring. To reach the pagoda and observation deck, visitors must climb a total of 398 steps. 1.00This tour was totally misleading and a bitter disappointment. As is clear from the photo used to advertise the tour, the idea was to go to chureito pagoda to see Fuji, including taking the iconic photo. That is the only reason I, and others who had also joined, booked this particular tour. However, when we got there, the tour guide only gave us 50 minutes. There are 395 steps to the observation deck, and from there the queue is one hour long. There was absolutely no way we could have made it. We arrived there T around 3:15pm and it was a very clear day. Wr could easily have stayed an hour and half before it even started to get dark. I told the tour guide that this was the highlight of the trip and that I felt cheated, but he was not very sympathetic. Others in the group felt the same as me and said they would complain. It us utterly misleading to use the photo the tour uses, knowing that visitors will desperately want that photo, and then not deliver. I travelled from the UK and it was very expensive. This Japan holiday is once in a lifetime for me. I searched for days for the correct Fuji tour before choosing this one. For weeks, envisioned that photo of me with the pagoda and Fuji in the background. I am utterly gutted. I have lodged a complaint and a request for a refund and waiting for a response.

1.00This itinerary had a lot of potential, but unfortunately the experience fell far short due to the guide. Our “guide” (and I use that term very loosely) should seriously consider a different profession. Her English needs improvement, as she was very difficult to understand. It also seemed that she did not have a solid understanding of the tour itself. She appeared to be reading from a script and was unable to answer any questions. The ride to Mt. Fuji took about two hours each way, and both directions were spent in complete silence. There was no commentary at all about where we were, what we were passing, or anything of interest along the way. At every stop, the only instruction we received was: “We stopped now, bus leaves in 30, 60, or 90 minutes. Enjoy.” There was no guidance, no context, and no effort to enhance the experience. Lunch was average, which would have been fine, but we ordered water and never received it. At the end of the meal, both the guide and the restaurant staff tried to convince several families in our group that their meals were not included, even though they were clearly part of the booking. People had to pull up their reservations to prove it. Throughout the entire day, questions went unanswered. There was no real guiding, not even basic commentary. We were simply transported from place to place and left on our own. It was very disappointing to pay for a guided tour and not receive the service that was promised.

4.00Midge was a friendly, energetic, caring tour guide. She did a wonderful job coordinating the activities for the day. Unfortunately, we experienced driving rain throughout our journey. Much of the day was spent outside, so it was difficult to have fun, since we were soaked despite rain gear and umbrellas. Needless to say, we did not see Mt. Fuji. Be aware that there are over 300 steps to the shrine and pagoda. Dinner was fine, although it was mid-afternoon before we reached the restaurant. Overall, this excursion would have been 100% better if the weather cooperated. But, unfortunately, there was nothing we could do about that. Midge stayed upbeat and informative throughout. Thank you, Midge.

3.00It was not an extraordinary experience because it was a long bus ride overall. We did get good views (although sky was hazy) of Mt Fuji. Tour guide Eric was kind, but he was explaining a lot of unnecessary things than about the places. We do recommend this tour option because you get to see various places. The crafts village we visited in the end wasn’t great
