Begin at a hidden sushi restaurant where an expert itamae prepares fresh sushi before your eyes. Next, enjoy premium Wagyu yakiniku at a local Japanese BBQ restaurant near Shinjuku West or Kabuki-cho. Stroll through the neon streets of Kabuki-cho and finish at a cozy local bar or snack bar with a dessert or drink. Leave full, relaxed, and with a deeper appreciation of Tokyo’s vibrant food culture.

5.00We had a lovely evening walking and eating with our guide. The food was great and she took great care of us and was an excellent guide through the main and back streets on Shinjuku. Thoroughly enjoyable, and great start to our Tokyo trip.

5.00Great food and walking tour. We had just arrived in town and were a little jet lagged but still had a great experience. Sushi restaurant in particular was amazing. Our guide was helpful giving scoop about the area and the food.

5.00Karren was an excellent host and showing the small lanes of Shinjuku and various eateries. These are never possible for a first timer visitor. Tour makes the experience many fold memorable.

5.00Shiki was both down-to-earth and a wonderful conversationalist! Got to see the vibe of Shinjuku with his live commentary as well as his own life experiences. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip!

5.00This is such a fun, delicious tour! Our guide was Tossy and she told us all about the area and showed us the best spots - we got to go through “Memory Alley,” see the Godzilla head, eat some delicious sushi omakase, cook Wagyu, and visit a viewing point to see the city from up high! Tossy was very knowledgeable imparting stories and teaching lessons along the way, and she was also very kind and made us feel very welcome as travelers to Tokyo and Japan at large. Couldn’t recommend this experience more!!
