Most Tokyo tours end after dinner. This one starts there. This tour is designed for travelers who want to discover Tokyo’s real nightlife after dark — with local guides, authentic bars and clubs, and a safe way to explore the city like a local.

Start by exploring Kabukicho’s neon streets with your guide before heading to a rooftop bar overlooking the city. Enjoy drinks with fellow guests while taking in the skyline and breaking the ice.

Then dive into the retro alleyways of Shinjuku Golden Gai, passing hundreds of tiny bars before stopping at a local music bar. Once the group is warmed up, finish the night at one of Shinjuku’s hottest nightclubs, where each floor offers different music and vibes. After the tour, you’re free to stay longer or continue with recommendations from your guide.

Shinjuku

We’ll kick off the experience by meeting at Shinjuku Station. Your guide will provide a brief orientation of the tour and introduce you to the unique history of the area. Once briefed, we will head straight into Shinjuku Kabukicho. You’ll explore the vibrant streets of Shinjuku's premier nightlife district, where your guide will lead you past the famous landmarks and secret spots that most tourists miss. It’s the perfect way to navigate this high-energy neighborhood with confidence and local insight.

Kabukicho

From there, we’ll make your way into the heart of Kabukicho, Japan’s most famous entertainment district. Known as the "Sleepless Town," this area is a dazzling labyrinth of towering neon signs, hidden local gems, and a history as colorful as its lights. Whether it’s the legendary Godzilla looming overhead or the narrow, atmospheric alleys, you’ll discover the true spirit of Tokyo’s nightlife through the eyes of a local.

    The experience matched my expectations; we walked through Shinjuku area during nighttime, and the guide explained about Kabukicho area, so it was really interesting to visit the area and at the same time know more about Japanese nightlife.

    Had a really fun night on this tour. We started at a standing bar in Golden Gai, which was a great icebreaker. It’s the kind of place that’s hard to walk into alone, so I was glad to go with a group. Then we went to a smaller nightclub, which I actually loved—easy to talk, relaxed vibe, and I got to connect with the other guests. The last stop was a bigger club, and it was cool to experience a more energetic side of Japanese club culture. Most of us ended up staying even after the tour ended because the vibe was so good. There were 6 of us (I expected more), but the small group made it easy to get to know everyone quickly. Definitely recommend this for solo travelers who want to enjoy Tokyo nightlife without going out alone.
