The tour with Tak was fantastic. He curated the tastings well and navigated the crowded market with ease. He told us a lot about the local area and history of the market. Highly recommend.

Yusei was very friendly and knowledgeable. We went during the holidays so it was more crowded than usual. Yusei was thoughtful about our experience and always found less crowded spots for us to stand and enjoy the food as he explained the history and food background. Thank you Yusei!

Had a tour with Yusei! He’s super knowledgeable and friendly! Super helpful and we had the best seats when we watched the chef fillet a Spanish Mackerel and ate it! He timed it perfectly! Highly recommend him!

Mitch guided our group today and we had a great time. One of the most crowded days due to the approaching New Year. But the fabulous Japanese culture allows all those people without any rudeness or trash and great samples of food. Fun tour and Mitch is a pro with his wonderful English from his student days in Seattle.

This fish market tour was an incredible experience from start to finish. The market itself was fascinating—full of energy, history, and incredible seafood—but what truly made the tour exceptional was the guide. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about Japanese food culture. Every explanation felt engaging, and they were happy to answer questions while sharing insights you’d never pick up on your own. The tour was well paced and thoughtfully organized, allowing plenty of time to explore while still learning the deeper cultural and culinary significance of the market. I especially appreciated how the guide pointed out details I would have otherwise missed and helped make sense of what can feel overwhelming at first. Overall, this was a five-star experience and one of the highlights of my trip. If you’re visiting a Japanese fish market and want a deeper, more meaningful experience, this tour is absolutely worth it.
