5.00We recently visited a Tokyo street market for a food tasting tour with our guide, Lax, and it was an absolute highlight of our trip. We give it a 10/10 and can only recommend it to anyone visiting the city. Without Lax, we would never have discovered or learned as much on our own. He shared so many fascinating insights about the market, the food, and Japanese culture, making the experience both educational and delicious. His English was excellent, and he was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We especially appreciated that he never pressured us to buy or eat anything. Instead, he warmly invited us to try many dishes, making it feel like an exciting culinary adventure rather than a tour. For visitors unfamiliar with Japanese food—and the language—having such a guide makes navigating the market effortless and fun. It was a blast from start to finish, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic, enjoyable taste of Tokyo.
