The impressive experience at the Top of Innsbruck, the 2,300m-high Hafelekar, is within every man’s grasp thanks to a direct connection from the city. Visitors may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the normally shy wildlife, but the unique panorama of city and mountain is the real highlight. Walk up to the highest point of the Nordkette and experience summit atmosphere without a long ascent. Walking time from the Hafelekar station: Approx. 10 – 15 minutes.

The ride to the Top of Innsbruck starts at the Altstadt station in Innsbruck. From there on our cable cars will take you conveniently up to the Top of Innsbruck

Opening hours: Hungerburg funicular: Mo-Fr 7:15 - 19:15; Sa, Su + Holidays 08:00 - 19:15, runs every 15 minutes. Seegruben cable car: Daily 08:30 - 17:30, runs every 15 minutes. (June - September extended operating hours until 18:30) Hafelekar cable car: Daily 09:00 - 17:00, runs every 15 minutes. (June - September extended operating hours until 18:00)

Once we located the cablecar base station it was a breeze. We took an early, pre 9am. trip and were virtually alone on the cablecar. Staff were friendly an most spoke English. Numbers increased by about mid morning. Refreshments were available at two stops. While the final climb to the top is best tackled on a clear day views were impressive. Top of Innsbruk
